A certified candidate is one whose nomination the City Clerk has accepted. The list shows the nomination date as May 7, 2026. Ward 12 covers City wards 20 (Scarborough Southwest) and 24 (Scarborough-Guildwood). The City of Toronto’s release of August 24, 2026 says the City Clerk certified 361 candidates and that the following were declared elected by acclamation: Nancy Crawford, Trustee, Toronto Catholic District School Board Ward 12, together with the trustee for Ward 6 and two Conseil scolaire Viamonde trustees. The release says the official Declaration of Acclamation is on the City’s Election Results page. The Local’s article of August 24, 2026 calls her an unopposed incumbent, and Wikipedia’s page on the 2026 election lists her as the incumbent. The City Clerk’s results for the Toronto Catholic District School Board list her first of 2 candidates in Ward 12 on October 24, 2022 with 5,216 votes, and first of 5 candidates in Ward 12 on October 22, 2018 with 4,752 votes, marked elected both times. A post on her X account (@TCDSB\_Trustee12) dated October 23, 2025 says school board trustees are neighbours who listen and ask hard questions, and that if the Ford government eliminates trustees, communities lose local democracy in their schools. voche.me read no board minutes, so it cites no vote and no committee or chair role. Her Know Your Vote T.O. page marks all four questions “Awaiting submission” and shows the acclamation. These are stated positions, not an assessment of results or a complete platform. No platform positions have been supplied. Research status ## What voche.me has checked Evidence reviewed on October 4, 2026: the City of Toronto’s list of certified candidates, the City’s release of August 24, 2026 on the certified candidates, her Know Your Vote T.O. page, the City Clerk’s 2018 and 2022 declarations of results, her X account, The Local’s article of August 24, 2026 on trustee candidates and Wikipedia’s page on the 2026 election. Name, office, ward and nomination date are as the City prints them, and the acclamation is stated from the City’s own release. Her trustee role comes from the City Clerk’s results. The City Clerk’s results are for Ward 12 as numbered in 2018 and 2022. voche.me found no board page that compares those wards with the 2026 wards, so each result is stated for the ward as numbered then. The TCDSB’s trustee pages loaded only a browser check, so no board record was read and no recorded vote is cited. The sitting trustees come from the City Clerk’s 2022 results, The Local and Wikipedia. The Local reports that the province took over the TCDSB in June 2025 and that, while the board is under provincial supervision, the job of Catholic board trustees is limited to denominational matters. No start date is stated because no board or City page that voche.me could read gives one. Gaps. The City’s list shows no campaign website for her. voche.me found no platform statement from her for 2026. No board minutes were read, so no recorded vote, committee role or chair role is cited. The questionnaire has not been sent.
