A certified candidate is one whose nomination the City Clerk has accepted. The list shows the nomination date as August 20, 2026 and no campaign website. Her Know Your Vote T.O. page, a Toronto Public Library project where candidates write their own answers, links the website maureenlarkinto.ca, a Facebook page and an Instagram account. Her website says she was the Co-Chair of the Parent Council at Market Lane Public School, where she worked on school safety and staffing and supported the school’s annual Fun Fair. It says she has a record as a community organizer and that, alongside Chris Glover, a Member of Provincial Parliament (MPP), she fought the proposed Billy Bishop Airport expansion, organized a Youth Council and helped vulnerable communities get food and other essentials. voche.me did not check these statements with the school or with Mr. Glover’s office. Her website says schools are underfunded, that she wants to organize parents, staff and community members to fight for fair funding, and that the province cut the number of TDSB trustees from 22 to 12. Her four Know Your Vote T.O. answers are marked “Awaiting submission”. TDSB wards changed for 2026. Ward 5 covers City wards 10 (Spadina-Fort York) and 14 (Toronto-Danforth). The City Clerk’s declaration of results for October 24, 2022 shows Alexis Dawson elected in the old Ward 9 and Sara Ehrhardt elected in the old Ward 15, and the TDSB’s trustee list for 2018 to 2022 names the old Ward 9 as Davenport and Spadina-Fort York and the old Ward 15 as Toronto-Danforth. Those results belong to the old wards and are not treated as results for the new Ward 5. The TDSB’s trustee wards page says that during provincial supervision the powers of trustees rest with the provincially appointed Supervisor, that trustees have no official duties with the board at this time, and that this also applies to trustees elected in October 2026. These are stated positions, not an assessment of results or a complete platform. 01 ### Fair school funding Her website says schools are underfunded and that she wants to organize parents, staff and community members to fight for fair funding so that schools do not depend on fundraising or corporate partnerships for essentials. [Maureen Larkin campaign website ](https://www.maureenlarkinto.ca/) 02 ### Protect public schools Her website says she is running to protect schools and improve children’s education despite the cut in the number of TDSB trustees. [Maureen Larkin campaign website ](https://www.maureenlarkinto.ca/) Research status ## What voche.me has checked Evidence reviewed on October 4, 2026: the City of Toronto’s list of certified candidates, her campaign website as linked from her Know Your Vote T.O. page, that page, the TDSB’s trustee wards page, the City Clerk’s 2022 declaration of results and the TDSB’s 2018 to 2022 trustee list. A campaign never verifies itself, so her background and her work with Chris Glover are attributed to her website. Gaps. The Instagram page opened as a login page showing only the account title, and the Facebook page returned no text, so nothing from either is used. The City’s list shows no website for her, and voche.me took the address from her own Know Your Vote T.O. page. Searches for her name returned her website and pages about MPP Chris Glover that were not opened. No public role is on record, so no board minutes were searched. No news report quoting her was found. The questionnaire has not been sent.
