Research status ## What voche.me has checked Evidence reviewed on October 4, 2026: the City of Toronto’s list of certified candidates, the City Clerk’s declaration of results for 2022, The Green Line’s Ward 20 page, Beach Metro’s report on the September 28 meeting, TTCriders’ Ward 20 page and Build Canada’s Ward 20 page. Ward context. The Ward 20 Scarborough Southwest councillor on the City’s Members of Council page is Parthi Kandavel, who is also a candidate. The 8 Ward 20 council candidates on the City’s roster are Parthi Kandavel (sitting councillor), Laikul Choudhury, Naser Kaid, Ariel-Rachel Karokis, Luigi Lisciandro, Sharmina Nasrin, Mohammad Ali Reza and Kevin Rupasinghe. The City Clerk’s 2022 results for council in Ward 20 list 8 candidates and 23,428 votes in total: Gary Crawford (8,216, elected), Parthi Kandavel (6,936), Kevin Rupasinghe (3,208), Lorenzo Berardinetti (2,773), Malik Ahmad (709), Corey David (615), Sharif Ahmed (608) and Philip Mills (363). The Clerk’s results for the November 30, 2023 by-election list 23 candidates: Parthi Kandavel (4,641, elected), Kevin Rupasinghe (3,854), Anna Sidiropoulos (2,275) and 20 others. Beach Metro’s September 30 report names Malik Ahmad among the eight Ward 20 council candidates and leaves out Naser Kaid. The City’s roster has Naser Kaid for Ward 20 council and a Malik Ahmad for TDSB Ward 10, so voche.me follows the City’s list. A Sept. 28, 2026 candidates’ meeting at the West Scarborough Neighbourhood Community Centre, reported by Beach Metro, featured 4 of the 8: Parthi Kandavel, Ariel-Rachel Karokis, Sharmina Nasrin and Kevin Rupasinghe. Organizers invited only candidates who had given the City contact information when they registered. The City Clerk’s 2022 results list a Luigi Lisciandro with 570 votes for council in Ward 21 Scarborough Centre. No source opened ties that entry to this candidate, so it is left out of the biography. A search summary also mentioned an earlier council run in 2014, and no source opened confirms it, so it is left out as well. Gaps. The Green Line links an Instagram account for the campaign. A web reader returned only a summary of it, so nothing from it is used. The City’s list gives no campaign website. The Local’s tracker of September 21, 2026 does not list him. No public role is on record, so no minutes search applies. The questionnaire has not been sent. The biography, priorities, experience and links are empty. Empty means unverified. He may well have a record and a platform that voche.me has not found.
