A certified candidate is one whose nomination the City Clerk has accepted. The list shows the nomination date as May 25, 2026 and the campaign website lakhankang.com. His campaign website says he is “born and raised in this community” and attended John D. Parker, Smithfield Middle School and West Humber Collegiate Institute. It gives his slogan as “A Strong Voice for Parents and Students” and lists four priorities: stronger student support, safe and welcoming schools, a stronger voice for parents, and better support for teachers and staff. The Downsview Advocate’s guide summarizes the same background and priorities. These are the campaign’s own statements, and voche.me did not check them against school or other records. TDSB wards changed for 2026. The Local reports that the former Humber River-Black Creek ward has merged with Etobicoke North to form TDSB Ward 1. The TDSB’s trustee wards page says that during provincial supervision the powers of trustees rest with the provincially appointed Supervisor, that trustees have no official duties with the board at this time, and that this also applies to trustees elected in October 2026. No entry under this name appears in the Toronto District School Board results of the City Clerk’s 2022 declaration of results. Every statement taken from his campaign website is written as the campaign’s own account. Gaps. The website is a single page. Its Priorities, About, Why Lakhan and Contact entries are sections of that page, and no further pages with detail were found. The website names no employer, past public role or endorsement. A LinkedIn result in a search appeared to concern a person of the same name, and nothing ties it to this candidate, so it is not used. His Instagram and Facebook pages returned no readable posts. No board or council record applies. The questionnaire has not been sent.
