The Local’s candidate tracker, written by that outlet’s journalists, says he is the former co-chair of the board at TTCriders, a public transit advocacy organization, and a co-founder of the Scarborough Environmental Association, which runs repair cafes, clothing swaps and bike repair events. It says his background is in software development, according to his LinkedIn page. It says he organized the Scarborough RT Farewell Food Tour and a map of Scarborough’s ethnic grocers, and that he has volunteered with Progress Toronto. His campaign website, the campaign’s own statement, says he was born and raised in Scarborough, co-founded and runs the Scarborough Environmental Association, and is the former co-chair of the board of TTCriders. It lists his community work by year, from a mobile bike repair program and a monthly repair cafe to a weekly bird-watching program, a sewing program and a monthly clothing swap. voche.me did not check these figures or awards with the organizations that are named. His website’s In the News page lists coverage from 2023 to 2026, including pieces on transit in Scarborough, the repair cafe and the grocery map, with short quotes from him. voche.me did not open those articles, so none of the quotes is repeated here. On endorsements, his website lists Progress Toronto, the Toronto and York Region Labour Council, CUPE Local 79 and ATU Local 113 (a transit workers’ union), along with named individuals. The Local says he is endorsed by Progress Toronto and the Toronto and York Region Labour Council. voche.me did not check the other two with the unions. TTCriders’ Ward 21 page records that he answered Yes to all 18 of its transit questions, with a written comment on one.
