Ward 12 covers City wards 24 and 25, Scarborough-Guildwood and Scarborough-Rouge Park. His campaign website describes him as a Mechanical Engineering graduate with more than 30 years of experience working with municipalities and public institutions. His Know Your Vote T.O. answer describes 30 or more years of IT consulting, an engineering degree, community involvement and work with youth. These are the campaign’s own statements, and voche.me did not check them against a university, an employer or a public record. [Ketan Purohit campaign website ](https://www.ketanpurohit.ca/) Research status ## What voche.me has checked Evidence reviewed on October 4, 2026: the City of Toronto’s list of certified candidates, his campaign website, his Know Your Vote T.O. page, the TDSB’s trustee wards page, the City Clerk’s 2022 declaration of results, the TDSB’s 2018 to 2022 trustee list and a CBC News report of September 2, 2025. His priorities and background come from his own website and answers and are attributed to them in the sentences that carry them. A check of the City Clerk’s 2022 results found no entry with this name. TDSB wards changed for 2026. Ward 12 covers City wards 24 and 25, which the City names Scarborough-Guildwood and Scarborough-Rouge Park. In 2022 the board’s wards were numbered differently. The TDSB’s 2018 to 2022 trustee list names the old Ward 19 as Scarborough-Guildwood and the old Ward 22 as Scarborough-Rouge Park. The City Clerk’s 2022 results mark Zakir Patel elected in the old Ward 19 and Anu Sriskandarajah elected in the old Ward 22, and a CBC News report of September 2, 2025 describes them as the trustees for those two areas. Anu Sriskandarajah is also a candidate in Ward 12. Those seats belong to the old wards and are not treated as seats in the new Ward 12. The TDSB’s trustee wards page says that during provincial supervision the powers of trustees rest with the provincially appointed Supervisor, that trustees have no official duties with the board at this time, and that this also applies to trustees elected in the October 2026 election. Gaps. His website loads its text through a script, so WebFetch and a plain download returned only the page title. The text was read from the site’s script file, and a selection of it is saved by hand and marked as a selection. His Facebook page, linked on Know Your Vote T.O., returned only a summary that names the campaign and no readable posts. No news report that names him was found. No board minutes were searched because no public role is on record in the profile. The questionnaire has not been sent.
