A certified candidate is one whose nomination the City Clerk has accepted. The list shows the nomination date as May 1, 2026 and the campaign website keenancourtis.ca. His home page, the campaign’s own statement, says he has experience in global IT systems, cybersecurity strategy and multimillion-dollar contracts across four continents for a Fortune 500 financial corporation, and calls him a community member, cyclist, TTC user and runner who has built his life in University-Rosedale. The Local’s Ward 11 tracker, updated as of September 21, 2026, describes him as an IT professional who has worked as an information security adviser to Sun Life. voche.me did not check his employment. His platform page lists seven priorities: walkable neighbourhoods, City operations, faster transit and smoother traffic, safe public spaces, supporting unhoused people, building better biking, and stabilizing property tax while broadening revenue. Examples on the page include pedestrianizing Kensington, Ossington and Yorkville streets, ending closed-tender bidding so construction work is open to all unionized firms, re-evaluating the City’s sole-source contracts, and an entry levy on drivers from outside Toronto. The page says $226 million in sole-source contracts should be re-evaluated. voche.me did not check that figure. These are the campaign’s statements. The Local also reports that in an Instagram post he criticized Mike Layton for joining the race late and called him a “political insider.” voche.me could not open that post, so the description is The Local’s. [Keenan Courtis · Platform ](https://www.keenancourtis.ca/platform) Research status ## What voche.me has checked Evidence reviewed on October 4, 2026: the City of Toronto’s list of certified candidates, its Members of Council page and the Ward 11 councillor’s profile, two pages of his campaign website (home and Platform), The Local’s Ward 11 tracker and The Green Line’s Ward 11 guide. No public office is on record in his profile. Every statement taken from his campaign website is written as the campaign’s own account. The sitting Ward 11 councillor on the City’s Members of Council page is Dianne Saxe. The City’s candidate data records her as withdrawn from Ward 11 on August 21, 2026, and The Local and The Green Line report that she is running in Ward 14 Toronto-Danforth instead, so she is not on the Ward 11 ballot. The nine candidates for Ward 11 on the City’s list are Alice Li, Diana Yoon, Gian Pileri, Huy Lieu, Karina Lemke, Keenan Courtis, Mike Layton, Paul Viret and Terri Hawkes. Gaps.
