Explore priorities Campaign links Researched by voche.me · Not a campaign-authored page Candidate space2026 Kannan S'ree JrToronto municipal election *Kannan S'ree JrCouncillorv.* 01 / Introduction ## About Kannan S'ree Jr Kannan S'ree Jr appears on the City of Toronto's list of certified candidates for Councillor in Ward 25 Scarborough-Rouge Park. A certified candidate is one whose nomination the City Clerk has accepted. The list shows the nomination date as August 19, 2026. It gives no campaign website for him. The Local's 2026 tracker, updated September 21, 2026, says he is a criminal defence lawyer with his own firm, It Wasn't Me Law Firm. It says he has no platform available online and that on Instagram he posts videos critical of Neethan Shan. voche.me did not find or open that Instagram account. The website of It Wasnt Me Law Firm has a page headed The Principal Lawyer that names Kannan K'annan S'ree Jr. It describes him, in the firm's own words, as a criminal defence lawyer with a bachelor's degree in Political Science and Global Studies from Wilfrid Laurier University and a law degree from the City, University of London. Legal Aid Ontario's lawyer directory lists a Kannan S'ree Jr with the specialty Criminal. voche.me matched the candidate to the firm through The Local's report and the shared name. It did not check the Law Society of Ontario's register, so his licence status is unconfirmed here. TTCriders' Ward 25 page records "No response" from him to each of its 18 transit questions, and Build Canada's page lists him among the candidates who had not yet answered its questionnaire. The City Clerk's declarations of results for the 2022 general election and the 2025 by-election list no candidate named Kannan S'ree Jr in any race. These are stated positions, not an assessment of results or a complete platform. No platform positions have been supplied. [Legal Aid Ontario · Kannan S'ree Jr](https://www.legalaid.on.ca/lawyers/kannan-sree-jr/) Research status ## What voche.me has checked Evidence reviewed on October 4, 2026: the City of Toronto's list of certified candidates, the City Clerk's declarations of results for the 2022 election and the 2025 by-election, The Local's Ward 25 tracker, the law firm's Principal Lawyer page, Legal Aid Ontario's lawyer directory, TTCriders' and Build Canada's Ward 25 pages, and the Centennial Community and Recreation Association's candidate listing, which names him without a biography. The firm's description of him is the firm's own account. Ward context. The City's Members of Council page for Ward 25 Scarborough-Rouge Park lists Councillor Neethan Shan, and the City Clerk's declaration of results for the September 29, 2025 by-election names him elected. The City's list of certified candidates shows 10 candidates for Councillor in the ward: Shawn Allen, Dharshan Casinathen, Ashan Fernando, Somas Kaneshapillai, Jannette Lumley, Zakir Patel, Dianna Robinson, Neethan Shan, Kannan S'ree Jr and Vane Stavrev. The 2025 by-election results name Shawn Allen, Zakir Patel, Dianna Robinson, Ashan Fernando and Neethan Shan among 20 candidates and do not name S'ree Jr. The ward's community associations list a candidate marketplace on October 10, 2026 and a candidate forum on October 13, 2026, both after the research date. Gaps. The City's list gives no website for him, so no campaign page was read. The firm's Instagram account opened as an empty shell, and it is a business account, so nothing from social media is used. voche.me did not find the Instagram account The Local describes. The City's decisions site returned HTTP 403, and he holds no public office on record, so no vote is cited. A second source for his work as a lawyer, such as the Law Society of Ontario's register, was not read. Empty sections record that nothing was verified. They carry no judgment on what he may have said or done. The questionnaire has not been sent.
