A certified candidate is one whose nomination the City Clerk has accepted. The list shows the nomination date as June 2, 2026. Ward 9 covers City wards 10 (Spadina-Fort York), 11 (University-Rosedale), 12 (Toronto-St. Paul’s) and 13 (Toronto Centre). The City Clerk’s 2022 results list Kevin Morrison as elected in Ward 9. The Local reports that Morrison is one of three trustees running for city councillor this year, so he is not a candidate for this seat. His campaign website, trustinsantos.com, is linked from his Know Your Vote T.O. page and names him as the candidate for TCDSB trustee in Ward 9. The City’s list gives no website for him. The site says he is running to protect what makes Catholic education distinct, strengthen local schools and make student achievement, well-being and family voices the first consideration in board decisions. Those are the campaign’s own statements. In his Know Your Vote T.O. answers he says his priority is careful use of public money, protecting classroom resources and listening to families, and that he would examine class sizes, staffing and the allocation of educational assistants using enrolment and student-needs data. He describes himself there as a business owner and Realtor and says that gives him experience managing budgets. voche.me has not checked that. The City Clerk’s 2022 results list no candidate named Jonathan Santos for the board, and voche.me read no board minutes, so it cites no vote. Name, office, ward and nomination date are as the City prints them. Know Your Vote T.O. is a Toronto Public Library project in which candidates write their own answers. The library checks them against its content standards and does not check whether they are true. The website’s claims are the campaign’s own and are attributed in the text. The City Clerk’s 2022 declaration lists no candidate named Jonathan Santos for the Toronto Catholic District School Board. The TCDSB’s trustee pages loaded only a browser check, so no board record was read and no recorded vote is cited. The sitting trustees come from the City Clerk’s 2022 results, The Local and Wikipedia. The Local reports that the province took over the TCDSB in June 2025 and that, while the board is under provincial supervision, the job of Catholic board trustees is limited to denominational matters. Gaps. His Instagram page showed no readable posts. No news report that names him was found. No board minutes were read, so no recorded vote is cited. The questionnaire has not been sent.
