A certified candidate is one whose nomination the City Clerk has accepted. The list shows the nomination date as August 21, 2026. The City’s list shows no website for her, and her Know Your Vote T.O. page links jocelynepoirier.ca. Ward 10 covers Beaches-East York and Scarborough Southwest. Her campaign website describes her as a chartered professional accountant (CPA), finance leader and community volunteer with experience managing budgets, and says she has lived in and been connected to both Beaches-East York and Scarborough Southwest. Those are the campaign’s own statements, and voche.me has not checked them against any other source. Her Know Your Vote T.O. page shows its four questions as awaiting submission. [Jocelyne Poirier campaign website · Home ](https://jocelynepoirier.ca/) Research status ## What voche.me has checked Evidence reviewed on October 4, 2026: the City of Toronto’s list of certified candidates, the home page of her campaign website, her Know Your Vote T.O. page, her Instagram page (read through a summary), the City Clerk’s 2022 declaration of results, the TDSB’s 2018 to 2022 trustee list, the TDSB’s trustee wards page and Beach Metro Community News of August 21, 2026. Her professional background, her community work and her priorities come from her campaign website and are attributed to it in the sentences that carry them. TDSB wards changed for 2026. Ward 10 covers City wards 19 and 20, which are Beaches-East York and Scarborough Southwest. The TDSB’s 2018 to 2022 trustee list names the old Ward 16 as Beaches-East York and the old Ward 18 as Scarborough Southwest. The City Clerk’s 2022 results show Michelle Aarts elected in the old Ward 16 and Malika Ghous elected in the old Ward 18. Those seats belong to the old wards and are not treated as seats in the new Ward 10. Beach Metro Community News reported on August 21, 2026 that Michelle Aarts registered for the new Ward 10 and withdrew her name on August 20, that the two old wards were merged into Ward 10, and that nine candidates are registered for it. voche.me found no current TDSB page that names the holder of the old Ward 18 seat, because the board’s ward pages loaded only the board’s home page, so that seat rests on the 2022 results alone. The TDSB’s trustee wards page says that during provincial supervision the powers of trustees rest with the provincially appointed Supervisor, that trustees have no official duties with the board at this time, and that this also applies to trustees elected in the October 2026 municipal election. Gaps. A name search also returned pages about a person with the same name. No page opened ties that person to this candidate, so none of it is used. Her X account returned an error and her Facebook and LinkedIn accounts were not opened. No board minutes were opened and no public role is on record for her in these sources. The questionnaire has not been sent.
