01 / Introduction

## About Isidoros Kyrlangitses

Isidoros Kyrlangitses appears on the City of Toronto’s list of certified candidates for Mayor. A certified candidate is one whose nomination the City Clerk has accepted. The list shows the nomination date as May 1, 2026 and gives the campaign website ambitioustoronto.com.

The Local's candidate page, updated as of September 21, 2026, says there is little information about him online. It reports that in a series of Instagram videos he proposed labelling the exits at Union Station, buying unsold condos to convert into affordable housing, and hosting more festivals and concerts, and that he criticized the land transfer tax as “a disincentive for empty nesters to sell.” voche.me did not open those videos. The Instagram account showed only a login page.

His website says he wants to inspire the city to accelerate its improvements in quality of life while growing its economy and population. It describes 10 million people as the result of continuous improvement, and it describes his vision as the cleanliness of Singapore, the efficiency of Hong Kong, the quality of life of Copenhagen and the scale of Tokyo. The site gives no biography or work history for him.

## What voche.me has checked

Evidence reviewed on October 4, 2026: the City of Toronto's list of certified candidates, the home page and four further pages of the campaign website he gave the City (Why 10 million trees, Why 10 million people, How do we grow, How do we improve quality of life), its Why me page, the login page of the Instagram account the site links, and The Local's candidate page. His plans come from his campaign website and are written here as his campaign's proposals.

Gaps. The Instagram account could not be read without logging in, so the videos The Local describes were not watched and are used only as The Local reports them. The campaign website gives no biography, work history or costs. No public role is on the profile. The questionnaire has not been sent.
