A certified candidate is one whose nomination the City Clerk has accepted. The list shows the nomination date as May 20, 2026 and gives faizanhaider.ca as the campaign website. The campaign website says he is a Scarborough immigrant who became the founder of a luxury enterprise, and that he is running to replace career politicians with what the site calls radical transparency and world-class execution. These are the campaign’s own words. The site names no business and gives no dates or work history, and voche.me has not checked any of it. The Local reports that in an Instagram post he says he has worked in luxury menswear, mentorship and entrepreneurship for 15 years. In an Instagram video, according to The Local, he argues that Toronto should be run as an enterprise instead of a bureaucracy, and he calls his action plan LUPE, which stands for love, unity, peace and equality. The Local says the plan includes joining the TTC with other transit systems in the Greater Toronto Area, and that he promises to name the rapper Drake as Toronto’s chief victory officer. voche.me read these points through The Local and did not open the video. These are stated positions, not an assessment of results or a complete platform. 01 ### Oppose Premier Doug Ford on Billy Bishop airport and bike lanes His campaign website says Toronto does not need an expansion of Billy Bishop airport or the removal of bike lanes, and that the mayor must defend the city against the Premier and that the city’s needs are separate from the province’s. [Faizan Haider campaign website · The 6ix Promises ](https://www.faizanhaider.ca/the-6ix-promises) 04 ### End homelessness His campaign website says the city has the resources to end homelessness through alternative housing, counselling and therapy, and by helping people find jobs. [Faizan Haider campaign website · The 6ix Promises ](https://www.faizanhaider.ca/the-6ix-promises) 05 ### Lower the cost of living His campaign website says he would increase wages, lower the cost of groceries, essentials and services, and remove unnecessary taxes and fees. Name, office and nomination date are as the City prints them. Every proposal above comes from his own website and is a campaign pledge. Gaps. The Instagram page named on his website sits behind a login page, so none of his posts could be read. The Local’s summary of his Instagram post and video is the only account of them used here. The Threads and X accounts were not opened. No news article that quotes him was found. The campaign website names no business, so the 15 years in menswear is unchecked. Empty sections record only that nothing was verified. The questionnaire has not been sent.
