A certified candidate is one whose nomination the City Clerk has accepted. The list shows the nomination date as June 9, 2026 and the campaign website votedevinwilkins.ca. His campaign website and his written answers in Beach Metro, which are the campaign’s own statements, say he moved to Toronto from the United States 13 years ago and has spent three years helping organize community events in Ward 19: the Beaches Jazz Festival, the Beaches Easter Parade, the Canada Day Picnic and the Pape Village Block Party. They say that work puts him in contact with neighbours, local organizations and the City. The Local’s candidate tracker says that, according to his LinkedIn, he is a recently graduated student who has volunteered at community events. voche.me did not check his event roles with the organizers, and did not open his LinkedIn page. His website lists three priorities: moving better (more dedicated bus and streetcar lanes, a continuous east-west cycling corridor from Victoria Park Avenue to downtown, preparation for the Ontario Line, and turning Main Street Station and Danforth GO into a transit hub), growing together (rezoning for more medium-density housing, stronger tenant rights, lower property taxes for families raising children, and rent control on all residential properties), and thriving communities (safer walking routes, parks, murals and support for small shops). In his Beach Metro answers he says he would expand multiplex zoning and set minimum unit sizes. The Local notes that rent control is a provincial power. TTCriders’ Ward 19 page records no response from him to its 18 transit questions, and Build Canada lists him among the candidates who had not answered its questionnaire. Beach Metro’s September 25 notice lists him among the 12 candidates who confirmed they will attend its October 5 meet-and-greet. The City Clerk’s 2022 declaration of results for Ward 19 has no entry under his name. No public office is on record in his profile. These are stated positions, not an assessment of results or a complete platform. 01 ### Transit and cycling, as his campaign states His website says he will expand dedicated bus and streetcar lanes, create a continuous east-west cycling corridor from Victoria Park Avenue to downtown, prepare neighbourhoods for the Ontario Line and turn Main Street Station and Danforth GO into a multimodal transit hub. [Devin Wilkins · campaign home page ](https://www.votedevinwilkins.ca) 02 ### Housing, as his campaign states His website says he will rezone neighbourhoods to allow more medium-density housing, strengthen tenant rights and landlord accountability, reduce property taxes for families raising children and extend rent control to all residential properties. [Devin Wilkins · campaign home page ](https://www.votedevinwilkins.ca) 03 ### Public spaces and small business, as his campaign states His website says he will improve pedestrian infrastructure, enhance parks and public spaces, add murals and public art by local artists and encourage neighbourhood retail and small businesses. [Devin Wilkins · campaign home page ](https://www.votedevinwilkins.ca) Research status ## What voche.me has checked Evidence reviewed on October 4, 2026: the City of Toronto’s list of certified candidates and Members of Council page, the City Clerk’s 2022 declaration of results, the home page of his campaign website (a single page with Meet Devin, Our Priorities and a contact section), Beach Metro’s Q&A with him, The Local’s Ward 19 tracker, Build Canada’s Ward 19 page, TTCriders’ Ward 19 page, The Green Line’s Ward 19 profile and its list of ward debates, and two further Beach Metro pieces on the race. No public office is on record in his profile. Every statement taken from his campaign website or from his own answers is written as his own account. Ward context. The City’s Members of Council page lists Brad Bradford as the Ward 19 Beaches-East York councillor. The City’s list of certified candidates shows him as a candidate for Mayor, and The Local, The Green Line and Beach Metro each report that he is running for mayor and not for the ward seat, so none of the 13 Ward 19 candidates is a sitting councillor. The 13 on the City’s list are Syeda Jaana Ali, James Dann, Nate Erskine-Smith, Fatima Ibrahimi, Natalie Johnson, Kevin Morrison, Karsten Riedel, Mohammad Shabani, Adam Smith, Austin Vieira, Jeff Wahl, Devin Wilkins and Jennie Worden. The City Clerk’s 2022 declaration of results for Ward 19 Beaches-East York lists 7 candidates: Brad Bradford (15,169 votes, elected), Jennie Worden (6,291), Adam Smith (1,902), Steven Thompson (1,735), Frank Marra (1,460), Donna Braniff (702) and Sébastien Auger (469). Of the 13 candidates, the Clerk’s 2022 Ward 19 table names two, Worden and Smith, and The Local says each of them ran there in 2022, in second and third place. No other 2026 Ward 19 candidate appears in that table. Build Canada’s Ward 19 page lists James Dann, Mohammad Shabani, Adam Smith, Austin Vieira and Jennie Worden as the 5 candidates who answered its questionnaire. TTCriders’ page shows answers to its 18 questions from 7 candidates (Ali, Dann, Erskine-Smith, Shabani, Smith, Wahl and Worden) and no response from the other 6. Beach Metro printed written answers from 11 of the 13 candidates on September 22, 2026. A candidate forum for Ward 19 was listed for September 28, 2026 at 5 Massey Square, organised by The Neighbourhood Organization, Don Valley Community Legal Services and the Taylor-Massey Oakridge Community Response Team, and Beach Metro lists a meet-and-greet at Beach United Church on October 5, 2026 that 12 candidates (all but Fatima Ibrahimi) confirmed they will attend. A listing records an invitation, and voche.me found no report of who took part in the forum. Gaps. His event-organizing roles and education are his own account and were not checked with the organizers or a school. The Local’s line about his LinkedIn profile is that outlet’s account, and the profile was not opened. His Instagram profile opened and returned thumbnails with no post text, so nothing from it is used, and his Facebook and YouTube links were not opened. Build Canada’s page lists no questionnaire answers from him, and TTCriders’ page records no response from him. The questionnaire has not been sent.
