A certified candidate is one whose nomination the City Clerk has accepted. The list shows the nomination date as May 7, 2026 and no campaign website. In his written answers printed by Beach Metro on September 22, 2026, which are his own statements, he says he was born and raised in Beaches-East York, is an early childhood Montessori educator with two decades of experience, and is the president of CUPE Local 5213, a union local. The Local’s candidate tracker says he is a teacher at a Montessori school who says he led the drive to unionize his workplace. voche.me found no union, school or other independent page that confirms his job or the union role. In the same answers he says he would reinstate the Queen Street East Urban Design Guidelines, set up a fast-track program for deeply affordable housing on City-owned land, expand licensed and affordable child care, require infrastructure assessments before major zoning approvals near Main, Danforth and Dawes, and push to maximize community benefit agreements with developers. In the Build Canada questionnaire, where he is one of 5 candidates who answered, he says he supports gentle density and opposes tolls and user fees for road and transit upgrades. The Local says he has said he opposes expanding Billy Bishop Airport and opposed the involvement of American immigration agents in Toronto during the FIFA World Cup, and that he has praised Prime Minister Mark Carney’s speech at the World Economic Forum online. voche.me did not read the posts The Local refers to. The Local also lists his priorities as child care, transit and bike lanes, housing, parks, prosperity and public safety. TTCriders’ Ward 19 page records no response from him to its 18 transit questions. The City Clerk’s 2022 declaration of results for Ward 19 has no entry under his name. No public office is on record in his profile. These are stated positions, not an assessment of results or a complete platform. 01 ### Housing and development, in his own answers to Beach Metro He says he would reinstate the Queen Street East Urban Design Guidelines, bring community organizations and developers together early in planning, build deeply affordable non-market housing on City-owned land and require full infrastructure assessments before major zoning approvals near Main, Danforth and Dawes. The City’s list shows no campaign website for him. No public office is on record in his profile. Every statement taken from his own answers is written as his own account. Ward context. The City’s Members of Council page lists Brad Bradford as the Ward 19 Beaches-East York councillor. The City’s list of certified candidates shows him as a candidate for Mayor, and The Local, The Green Line and Beach Metro each report that he is running for mayor and not for the ward seat, so none of the 13 Ward 19 candidates is a sitting councillor. The 13 on the City’s list are Syeda Jaana Ali, James Dann, Nate Erskine-Smith, Fatima Ibrahimi, Natalie Johnson, Kevin Morrison, Karsten Riedel, Mohammad Shabani, Adam Smith, Austin Vieira, Jeff Wahl, Devin Wilkins and Jennie Worden. The City Clerk’s 2022 declaration of results for Ward 19 Beaches-East York lists 7 candidates: Brad Bradford (15,169 votes, elected), Jennie Worden (6,291), Adam Smith (1,902), Steven Thompson (1,735), Frank Marra (1,460), Donna Braniff (702) and Sébastien Auger (469). Of the 13 candidates, the Clerk’s 2022 Ward 19 table names two, Worden and Smith, and The Local says each of them ran there in 2022, in second and third place. No other 2026 Ward 19 candidate appears in that table. Build Canada’s Ward 19 page lists James Dann, Mohammad Shabani, Adam Smith, Austin Vieira and Jennie Worden as the 5 candidates who answered its questionnaire. TTCriders’ page shows answers to its 18 questions from 7 candidates (Ali, Dann, Erskine-Smith, Shabani, Smith, Wahl and Worden) and no response from the other 6. Beach Metro printed written answers from 11 of the 13 candidates on September 22, 2026. A candidate forum for Ward 19 was listed for September 28, 2026 at 5 Massey Square, organised by The Neighbourhood Organization, Don Valley Community Legal Services and the Taylor-Massey Oakridge Community Response Team, and Beach Metro lists a meet-and-greet at Beach United Church on October 5, 2026 that 12 candidates (all but Fatima Ibrahimi) confirmed they will attend. A listing records an invitation, and voche.me found no report of who took part in the forum. Gaps. His job, his union role and his education work are his own account, and a search for the union local found no page that confirms them. The Local’s account of his posts on immigration enforcement and the Prime Minister’s speech was not checked against the posts, which voche.me did not find. No campaign website or social media account for him was named by the City or by any page opened, so none was opened. Build Canada’s questionnaire answers from him were read only in part. TTCriders’ page records no response from him. The questionnaire has not been sent.
