A certified candidate is one whose nomination the City Clerk has accepted. The list shows the nomination date as July 31, 2026 and a campaign website, andrewwaters.ca. His campaign website describes him as a qualified teacher, a chartered professional accountant, a City public servant for 20 years, and a school council chair and treasurer for 7 years. It says that as school council chair he helped deliver a universal pay-what-you-can hot lunch program and reduced screen time during the school day. These are the campaign’s own statements, and voche.me did not check them with the school, the board or a professional body. The site gives five priorities that spell START: Student Focused, Trust Restored, Accountability, Results and Transparency. In his Know Your Vote T.O. answers, which candidates write themselves and the library does not fact-check, he names student achievement, well-being and accountability as his top priority and says he has led a school council and the board’s Parent Involvement Advisory Committee. TDSB wards changed for 2026. Ward 3 covers City wards 4 (Parkdale-High Park) and 9 (Davenport). His site names the ward as Parkdale-High Park and Davenport. The TDSB’s trustee wards page says that during provincial supervision the powers of trustees rest with the provincially appointed Supervisor, that trustees have no official duties with the board at this time, and that this also applies to trustees elected in October 2026.
