A certified candidate is one whose nomination the City Clerk has accepted. The list shows the nomination date as July 14, 2026. Her campaign website, which is the address she gave the City, is signed “Amy Rosen” and describes her as a travel writer. Her Instagram profile line calls her a mayoral candidate and links to the same website. Streets of Toronto reported on August 12, 2026 that she is a James Beard Award-nominated food writer, a former Top Chef Canada casting producer and a bestselling author. The same article says she opened Rosen's Cinnamon Buns at 825 College Street in 2016, closed the storefront in 2018 and moved the business to frozen dough that customers bake at home. The Local describes her as the founder of a cinnamon bun brand and the author of several books, including the cookbook Toronto Cooks. Her campaign website says she was born and raised in Toronto, has written about travel for 20 years and is a small business owner. Its About page calls her a Toronto-based journalist, bestselling author, entrepreneur and television personality, and says she is a James Beard Award-nominated writer and a former editor at leading Canadian publications. These are the campaign's own statements, and voche.me has not checked them against another source. The Local reports that in July 2026 she wrote on Instagram about vandalism and shootings at Jewish-owned bakeries, saying that many of the city's leaders seem unwilling to acknowledge that repeated intimidation, vandalism and antisemitic rhetoric contribute to a hostile environment. voche.me did not open the post and relies on The Local's quotation.
