A certified candidate is one whose nomination the City Clerk has accepted. The list shows the nomination date as August 20, 2026 and a campaign website, voteazeem.ca. Ward 11 covers City wards 21 and 23, Scarborough Centre and Scarborough North. A TDSB document titled PIAC Membership 2024-2025 (February 2025) lists him as a Ward 21 co-representative on the board’s Parent Involvement Advisory Committee, the committee through which the TDSB hears from parents. Ward 21 is the old TDSB ward for Scarborough North. His campaign website says he has served on that committee for four years, that he has taken part in TDSB school councils as a member, co-chair and chair since 2010, and that he holds a Master of Business Administration. His site also says he has more than 15 years of work in sales, marketing and strategic planning and that he operates a business in the health care field. Those details are his own statements and voche.me has not checked them. On his Know Your Vote T.O. page he answered all four questions in his own words. He writes that listening is the first step and that accountability and follow-through matter, and that as a trustee he would turn parents’ concerns into measurable action. He says he would push for school-by-school reports on program capacity, enrolment, waiting lists and staffing, and would advocate for manageable class sizes and educational assistant support. The Know Your Vote T.O. team checks that answers meet its content standards and does not check that they are true. His committee role comes from the TDSB’s own list. His education, work history, priorities and school council service come from his campaign website and are written as his own account in the sentences that carry them. TDSB wards changed for 2026. Ward 11 covers City wards 21 and 23, which the City’s list names Scarborough Centre and Scarborough North. The TDSB’s 2018 to 2022 trustee list names the old Ward 17 as Scarborough Centre and the old Ward 21 as Scarborough North, and the City Clerk’s 2022 results show Neethan Shan elected in the old Ward 17 and Yalini Rajakulasingam elected in the old Ward 21. The old Ward 11 was Don Valley West, a different area from the new Ward 11 in Scarborough. The TDSB’s trustee wards page says that during provincial supervision the powers of trustees rest with the provincially appointed Supervisor, that trustees have no official duties with the board at this time, and that this also applies to trustees elected in October 2026. voche.me found no TDSB page that names a current trustee for the Scarborough Centre or Scarborough North area, so it names none. The City Clerk’s 2022 results for the TDSB list no entry under this candidate’s name. Gaps. His site shows Facebook, YouTube, Instagram and WhatsApp icons, and the page text gave no address for any of them, so no social account was opened. The TDSB list shows his name for 2024 to 2025 only, and no committee minutes were read for any recorded vote, so none is cited. His claims of four years on the committee, service since 2010 and 25 schools represented are his own and the board list does not cover them. The questionnaire has not been sent.
