ABOUT VOCHE.ME

# Toronto election information you can check.

voche.me is a guide to the 2026 Toronto municipal election, independent of the City of Toronto, every school board and every candidate. It has a page for the mayor race, a page for each City ward, a page for each school board ward, and a profile for each candidate on the City Clerk’s certified list.

Official rules, deadlines and eligibility come from [City of Toronto](https://www.toronto.ca/city-government/elections/voter-information/). Use it to confirm anything that affects your vote.

## Our editorial standards

- Link factual claims to sources readers can inspect.
- Separate documented facts, candidate statements and opinion.
- Use the same profile fields for each candidate.
- Show verification dates on research pages, and note corrections on the page where they are made.
- Use official sources for voting places, deadlines and eligibility.

## How the candidate pages are made

Every profile starts as a name, an office and a ward copied from the City of Toronto’s list of certified candidates. Research is then added from public sources: campaign websites, council and board records and news reporting. A campaign’s statements about itself are attributed to the campaign. Each page lists its sources and says what is still unchecked.

For this election, the research is prepared by an automated process that reads public sources and applies the standards above. A person does not review each page before it is published. If you find a mistake, tell us and we will check the source, fix the page and note the correction on it.

## Corrections

When we learn that a page is wrong, we check the source, fix the page and note the correction on it.
