Every candidate. Under section 169.1 of the Education Act, every school board promotes student achievement and well-being, ensures effective stewardship of its resources, delivers education programs, develops a multi-year plan and monitors and evaluates its director of education. A trustee takes part in those decisions as a member of the board.
