01 / Introduction
## About Nevalette Zayet
The City of Ottawa’s open data file of nominated candidates (workbook of August 29, 2026), sheet CEPEO, shows Nevalette Zayet in Zone 12 with a nomination filed on August 20, 2026 and no withdrawal. The other nomination in the zone is Samia Ouled Ali, filed on May 5, 2026. CTV News Ottawa’s guide to the school board races lists Zone 12 as Wards 3, 6, 21, 23 and 24, and lists her name without a link. The board’s election page names the area of its sector 12 for 2026 as Barrhaven-Ouest, Stittsville, Rideau-Jock, Kanata-Sud and Barrhaven-Est.
Stittsville Central, a local news site, published a list of candidates on August 24, 2026. It lists Nevalette Zayet and Samia Ouled Ali under Zone 12 of the CEPEO and gives an email contact for each, which voche.me does not copy. It gives no website or social media account for her.
The board’s Gouvernance page lists Samia Ouled Ali as trustee for sector 12 in the 2022 to 2026 sectors, which were then Barrhaven-Ouest, Knoxdale-Merivale, Rideau-Jock, Riverside-Sud-Findlay Creek and Barrhaven-Est. The City’s 2022 sheet for CEPEO Zone 12 holds no votes and carries the line “Acclaimed”, and the board’s release of October 25, 2022 lists Ouled Ali as re-elected for sector 12. The name Nevalette Zayet does not appear on that sheet.
VoteMate lists Nevalette Zayet for Zone 12 with a note that no profile has been uploaded and no promises added. No public office is on record in the profile, and the sources read hold no complaint or allegation about her.

## What voche.me has checked
Evidence reviewed on October 7, 2026: the City’s open data file of nominations, the City’s 2022 official results for CEPEO Zone 12, the board’s election page, Gouvernance page and release of October 25, 2022, the Stittsville Central list of candidates of August 24, 2026, and the VoteMate listing, which holds no profile text. CTV News Ottawa’s guide to school board candidates, published September 9, 2026 and updated October 5, 2026, was also read; it lists her by name under the CEPEO and quotes nothing.
Gaps. The City’s page for the CEPEO could not be read, so any website or accounts that she gave the City are unknown. No campaign website, social media account, news article or statement from her was found, so her background and priorities are unknown. A general web search tool was not available, so a page that only a general search would find may exist. An empty section records only that nothing was found, and she may have statements that voche.me has not seen. The voche.me questionnaire has not been sent.
