In the CTV News questionnaire he lists his professional experience as founder and CEO of Rabbito Social, a Canadian digital communications platform, and more than 20 years in technology, product development and business leadership. The campaign website says he spent two decades building digital systems for federal departments and agencies. These are his own statements, and voche.me has not checked them with an employer or a registry. The City's list shows his nomination dated May 19, 2026. Elections Canada's results for the April 28, 2025 general election in Orléans list Mazhar Choudhry as an Independent candidate with 162 of 78,803 valid votes, or 0.2 percent. Ontario municipal candidates have no party on the ballot. In the CBC News questionnaire he says he has more than 20 years of community organizing, social services and political campaigning for federal, provincial and municipal campaigns in the Ottawa region. His CBC News questionnaire answers say he started the Canada Day in Cumberland event, chairs the Departmental Consultative Group for the Cumberland Heritage Village Museum, and brought cricket to Orléans. His campaign website says he founded the Cumberland Cricket Club and worked with the City to build its ground. voche.me has not checked these with the groups named. In the CBC News questionnaire he wrote that nothing has improved in the ward since 2022 and that it has become worse. He gave CBC News no figure for a limit on the 2027 property tax increase and wrote that the City has to find new sources of revenue. He chose a transit levy (a separate tax for transit) to cover OC Transpo deficits and answered that the police budget is appropriate, with accountability. On his FAQ page he says he would have voted against the City's funding for the Lansdowne 2.0 redevelopment, because Orléans lacks recreation facilities and has poor roads and transit. He says he has run a petition of nearly 200 signatures to bring back OC Transpo's Route 95, a bus route that ran from Orléans to downtown.
