The City's list gives him a website and an Instagram account. CBC News reported on August 21, 2026 that he is a real estate agent and that he ran for Mayor in the previous election, in 2022, when he won 0.14 per cent of the vote. He told CBC News that he waited until the last day to be sure his papers were in order, and that running is a big decision for him. The website the City lists for him, jacobsolomon.ca, is titled "Jacob Solomon | Ottawa Real Estate Agent" and presents his real estate practice to home buyers, sellers and investors. It has no page about the election. voche.me takes no fact about the campaign from it and repeats none of the practice's own claims about its service. CBC News's list of mayoral candidates of August 28, 2026 records that CBC sent emails to the address he gave the City and did not receive a response by its deadline for the candidate questionnaire. A video interview with him from October 2022 is on YouTube, on a channel that is not his. voche.me read only the page description and did not watch the video, so it takes nothing from it. No public office, complaint, finding or news report about conduct was found in the sources opened for 2026. His Instagram account answered with a profile line only, and no posts could be read. Gaps. No written platform, policy statement or news report quoting him on city issues was found for 2026. The audio of the 2022 interview was not heard. His 2022 vote count was not taken from the City's published results, so only CBC News's share of 0.14 per cent is used, attributed to CBC News. The questionnaire has not been sent.
