Vancouver police are renewing their call for the public's help in the September 23, 2026 homicide of Victor Charles McIntyre at CRAB Park, the Vancouver Police Department said on October 30. Investigators are still trying to identify a potential witness who was at the park near Columbia and Keefer streets that day.

Police described the person they are looking for as a man wearing a black jacket over a red-and-blue shirt with white lettering, black pants and white shoes, and carrying a longboard. The VPD said it has already identified one of the witnesses from an earlier appeal, but still needs help finding this second person.

**Renewed appeal**

The VPD Homicide Unit is asking anyone who recognises the description to come forward. Police are not describing this person as a suspect, but as a potential witness who may have information about what happened on September 23.

CRAB Park, also known as Portside Park, sits near Burrard Inlet at Columbia and Keefer streets in Vancouver's Downtown Eastside. The park is a well-used public green space close to the water.

The homicide occurred more than five weeks ago. Police first appealed to the public after the incident, and that earlier effort led them to identify one of the witnesses shown in that release. The renewed appeal on October 30 focuses on the second person, whose identifying information is not yet known to investigators.
