Two public ceremonies mark Remembrance Day in Vancouver on November 11, 2026. Both begin at 10:30 am and are free to attend.

## Victory Square

Victory Square, at Hastings Street and Cambie Street, holds what 604 Now describes as Vancouver's oldest continuing Remembrance Day ceremony. The ceremony runs from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm and includes wreath-laying and a parade of veterans. The Vimy Foundation organizes the event.

Victory Square is accessible by public transit. Stadium-Chinatown SkyTrain station on the Expo and Millennium lines is a short walk west along Hastings Street.

## Japanese Canadian War Memorial

The Japanese Canadian War Memorial ceremony at Stanley Park runs from 10:30 am to 11:45 am. Veterans Affairs Canada organizes the event and describes it as a hybrid ceremony with both in-person and virtual attendance.

After the ceremony at the memorial, the program moves to the Stanley Park Pavilion at 610 Pipeline Road for a chamber opera performance by Taka Lee. Light refreshments are provided.

The Stanley Bus Loop gives transit access to Stanley Park. The park entrance is off Georgia Street in downtown Vancouver.

## November 11 is a public holiday

Remembrance Day is a statutory holiday in British Columbia. Many businesses, government offices, and schools are closed. TransLink runs transit on a reduced holiday schedule on November 11; its holiday schedule page at translink.ca has the details for SkyTrain, buses, and the SeaBus before you travel.

Both Vancouver ceremonies on November 11 are public and free to attend. 604 Now's full guide at [604now.com](https://604now.com/remembrance-day-metro-vancouver-ceremonies-parades/) lists Remembrance Day ceremonies across Metro Vancouver, including North Vancouver at Victoria Park Cenotaph from 9:15 am to 2 pm, New Westminster at City Hall Cenotaph from 10:25 am to 12:30 pm (livestreamed on YouTube), and Richmond at Richmond City Hall Cenotaph from 10:20 am to 11:30 am.
