Vancouver has five confirmed public events this Saturday and Sunday. Here is what is happening, with the day, the time, the place, and what it costs, taken from each organizer's own page.

## Saturday, November 7

### Diwali in Vancouver

The Roundhouse Arts and Recreation Centre is hosting a free Diwali celebration in partnership with Diwali Fest. The event runs from 2 pm to 5 pm in the Exhibition Hall and Performance Centre at 181 Roundhouse Mews in Yaletown.

The Roundhouse describes it as "a traditional Mehfil, where music, dance, culture, and community come together to celebrate the spirit of Diwali." Expect soulful live music, dance performances, and cultural expressions from South Asia.

The Mehfil is a gathering form rooted in South Asian traditions, bringing together music and performance in a shared space. The Roundhouse has partnered with Diwali Fest, an organization that runs Diwali programming across Vancouver.

Attendance is free, but the Roundhouse requires pre-registration because of venue capacity limits. The registration link is on the event page at [roundhouse.ca](https://www.roundhouse.ca/event/diwali-in-vancouver/). The Roundhouse is at 181 Roundhouse Mews, in Yaletown near the False Creek waterfront.

### Pentatonix: Christmas in the City Tour

The a cappella group Pentatonix performs at Rogers Arena, 800 Griffiths Way, at 7:00 pm. Rogers Arena confirmed the show on its events listing as of this morning.

Pentatonix is a six-member group known for vocal arrangements of Christmas music. The Christmas in the City Tour brings them to Vancouver as part of a cross-Canada run.

Rogers Arena does not accept cash. Bring a debit or credit card, or use Google Pay or Apple Pay. Bags larger than 35.5 cm by 35.5 cm by 15.2 cm are not allowed inside the arena. Mobile tickets must show a moving barcode; a screenshot will not be accepted at the gate. Tickets are available through Ticketmaster; the Curiocity events guide listed starting prices at $51.80.

For transit, the closest SkyTrain station is Stadium-Chinatown on the Expo and Millennium lines, a short walk from Rogers Arena along Griffiths Way.

### Dracula: A Comedy of Terrors

The Arts Club Theatre Company's production of Dracula: A Comedy of Terrors continues at the Lindsay Family Stage at Granville Island through November 15. The Arts Club describes it as a farce in which the hero is a coward, the kidnapped young lady wants adventure, and Count Dracula bakes cakes. It is written by Gordon Greenberg and Steve Rosen.

Weekend showtimes are at 1:30 pm and 7:30 pm. Tickets start at $29 per person and are available at [artsclub.com](https://www.artsclub.com/shows/2026-2027/dracula-a-comedy-of-terrors). The Lindsay Family Stage is at the southern end of Granville Island, accessible by the Granville Island ferry from the downtown waterfront.

### Astra Lumina at Stanley Park

Astra Lumina is a ticketed outdoor night walk at Stanley Park, running every night until March 13, 2027. The walk starts at 690 Pipeline Road. It takes visitors through nine themed zones of light installations, projections, and soundscapes that follow the story of stars descending to Earth. The organizer, Moment Factory, describes the experience as a self-guided tour through a forest illuminated by colour and projection.

Astra Lumina is designed for all ages. Public transit to the site runs via the historic Stanley Bus Loop. Tickets are available through Fever, the booking platform listed on the organizer's page. ### Design for Change 2026

The Roundhouse is hosting Design for Change 2026, a free competition for high school and post-secondary students, in partnership with Young Architects for Change. It runs from 10 am to 3 pm at 181 Roundhouse Mews in Yaletown.

This year's challenge is to design an outdoor pavilion that fosters community connection and reconciliation. The Roundhouse describes it as an invitation to create "an inclusive space for gathering, cultural understanding, and shared experiences."

Young Architects for Change is a Vancouver-based organization that runs architecture and design programming for young people. The event is free and open to both competitors and visitors who want to attend and see the presentations. No registration is required for visitors.
