The City of Vancouver published its official 2026 election results at the voting-place level on October 22, and CityHallWatch has used those files to map turnout and the mayoral race for all 22 of the city's local areas. The post, published October 24, 2026, includes charts and maps built directly from the City's open data.

Citywide, 209,711 ballots were cast from 483,324 registered voters, a turnout of 43.39 per cent. [Pete Fry](/candidates/pete-fry) received 98,748 votes to win the mayor race. [Ken Sim](/candidates/ken-sim) received 67,598. Fry led in 12 of the 22 local areas; Sim led in 10.

## Turnout varied across the city

CityHallWatch used ballots cast per 100 residents as a measure of turnout by area, because registered voter counts are not available at the neighbourhood level. The City's files list totals for each of the 22 local areas into which Vancouver is divided for planning purposes.

Mount Pleasant had the highest rate at 45.1 ballots per 100 residents. Kerrisdale was at 42.4 and Grandview-Woodland at 39.2. South Cambie was at 38.4 and Oakridge at 37.4. At the other end, Marpole had the lowest rate at 19.6, followed by Strathcona at 20.5 and Renfrew-Collingwood at 21.7.

## Fry and Sim each dominated different parts of the city

Fry's strongest area was Grandview-Woodland, where he led Sim by 61.4 percentage points. Mount Pleasant was his second-strongest area, with a 45.7-point lead, followed by the West End at 43.5 points.

Sim's strongest area was Oakridge, where he led Fry by 34.0 percentage points. Victoria-Fraserview gave Sim a 31.2-point lead, and Shaughnessy a 30.4-point lead.

## Council party strength also varied by area

When measured by average candidate vote share, ABC Vancouver candidates led in 11 local areas, COPE candidates in 8 areas, and Green Party of Vancouver candidates in 3. These figures show relative support across the party's full slate of candidates rather than individual seat wins.
