Vancouver Magazine published a guide on October 7 that lists all 55 City Council candidates for the October 17 election, organized by party with short descriptions of each group's platform priorities.

Nine parties have candidates in the council race: ABC Vancouver, COPE, Green Party of Vancouver, OneCity, TEAM for a Livable Vancouver, TrueBlue Vancouver, Vancouver Liberals, Vote Vancouver, and Bright Future Vancouver. A small number of candidates are running without a party.

ABC Vancouver is the incumbent governing party and has nine council candidates, according to the guide. Its stated priorities center on reducing public disorder and speeding up housing and development approvals, the party says. OneCity has five council candidates, including incumbent Lucy Maloney; the party says its goal is to govern for the direct benefit of average Vancouverites. TEAM for a Livable Vancouver has seven council candidates running on what the party calls a neighbourhood-first approach to planning, along with proposed democratic reforms. Vote Vancouver describes itself as centrist and has four council candidates. COPE has three council candidates on a platform it says prioritizes community-led public safety and housing. The Vancouver Liberals have seven council candidates and a platform they say focuses on hiring 400 unionized city workers for frontline services, faster housing construction, and a luxury yacht tax. The Green Party of Vancouver has three council candidates with a platform that includes a 24-hour non-police mobile response team and climate action. Bright Future Vancouver has three council candidates. TrueBlue Vancouver has one council candidate. All platform summaries are the parties' own stated positions, as compiled by Vancouver Magazine.

Voters on October 17 can mark up to 10 names for City Council on their ballot. Advance voting is open through October 10. You can see every council candidate's profile and their party's platform at [/parties](/parties), or find your voting location at [/where-to-vote](/where-to-vote).
