## About Scott Jensen

Scott Jensen appears on the City of Vancouver's final 2026 candidate list for Park Board, with ballot number 220. The City records the affiliation as Vancouver Liberals.

The official roster for the current term lists Scott Jensen as a Vancouver Park Board commissioner. That is a separate office from the one on this 2026 ballot entry.

The page says Jensen is a current Park Board Commissioner running again with the Vancouver Liberals. The page says Jensen was first elected in 2022 and then became chair of the Park Board. The page says Jensen teaches grade three with the Vancouver School Board at Lord Robert’s Elementary School.

Jensen was elected to the Vancouver Park Board in the 2022 election as an ABC Vancouver candidate, with 71,174 votes, the highest total of any Park Board candidate that year.

Daily Hive reported that Jensen served as the Park Board's first Indigenous chair during the current term.

On December 6, 2023 Jensen, Brennan Bastyovanszky and Laura Christensen left ABC Vancouver and sat as independents after Mayor Ken Sim proposed ending the separately elected Park Board through a provincial charter change. Daily Hive reported the three were removed from the party after opposing the proposal.

On January 18, 2026 Jensen joined the Vancouver Liberals, giving the new party its first sitting elected official ahead of the October 2026 election.

Daily Hive described Jensen as a full-time teacher. The campaign page says Jensen teaches grade three at Lord Roberts Elementary School under the Vancouver School Board.

The campaign page says Jensen is a lifelong lacrosse player and calls the sport the medicine game for Indigenous communities.

The City of Vancouver website returns an error to automated requests, so the official Park Board minutes and voting record for Jensen's term were not reviewed. No source found names how Jensen voted on the April 2025 decision to build a 25-metre pool at the Vancouver Aquatic Centre, so no vote is attributed here. The campaign's claim that 90 per cent of the infrastructure plan has been carried out, and the claim of two new community centres, come from the campaign page alone and were not independently confirmed, and the page does not name the two centres. The campaign page names a school where Jensen teaches; no independent source confirming that was found.
