Naomi Chocyk appears on the City of Vancouver's final 2026 candidate list for City Council, with ballot number 154. The City records the affiliation as TrueBlue Vancouver.
Chocyk appears twice on the 2026 Vancouver ballot. Daily Hive's published ballot order lists Chocyk at number 154 for city council and at number 318 for school board, both for TrueBlue Vancouver.
TrueBlue Vancouver is a new municipal party. Its own site lists four candidates for the 2026 election and names Chocyk as the only one running for both city council and school board.
A candidate profile submitted to VoteMate for the 2020 BC election under the same name says the candidate studied political science and international relations at the University of British Columbia, worked as a political aide at the provincial level and as a staffer for Jody Wilson-Raybould, and volunteered as a support worker. That profile is a 2020 campaign submission and is not confirmed by an independent source.

### Blog post criticising Pride campaign photographs
Wilbur Turner published a post on the Queer Granddad newsletter on August 1, 2026. Turner writes that Chocyk posted campaign photographs holding signs reading 'Yes to Jesus, No to Pride' at Pride related locations in Vancouver, including a rainbow crosswalk and City Hall. Turner also writes that Chocyk ran for the People's Party of Canada in Vancouver Granville in 2019 and for the BC Libertarian Party in Vancouver-False Creek in 2020.
#### Candidate or party response
Turner reports that Chocyk answered criticism by arguing the LGBT movement reduces the freedom and happiness of others, and that 2SLGBTQIA+ people tolerate other faiths while treating Christians differently. No separate campaign statement on the post was found.
#### Verified status and limits
No news organisation was found to have reported on the post. The Vancouver Granville 2019 and Vancouver-False Creek 2020 results do list a candidate named Naomi Chocyk, with 431 votes, 0.81 percent, and 280 votes, 1.14 percent. Whether that is the same person as the 2026 candidate rests on Turner's post alone.
