## About Jon Girard

Jon Girard appears on the City of Vancouver's final 2026 candidate list for Park Board, with ballot number 204. The City records the affiliation as TEAM for a Livable Vancouver.

The campaign says Girard works as a consultant in software and explains technical detail to people who must decide without being experts. The page says Girard was founding managing director of Protecting Our Vancouver Aquatic Centre Society, which raised over $110,000 from the public and filed a court petition over the Aquatic Centre replacement. The campaign says Girard has lived in Vancouver for the last ten years and swims in public pools several times a week.

The TEAM campaign page says Girard works as a software consultant and has lived in Vancouver for the past ten years.

Girard is one of three directors of the Protecting Our Vancouver Aquatic Centre Society. CityHallWatch named Girard, Susan Boutwood and Carlie McPhee as the three directors in July 2025, and the society's own petition announcement lists the same three names.

The society Girard directs asked the Supreme Court of British Columbia to overturn the decision to build a 25 metre pool at the Vancouver Aquatic Centre, arguing it did not match what voters were told in the 2022 plebiscite.
