A new retail store at Park Royal South in West Vancouver brings together more than 25 Indigenous artists under one roof, giving vendors a permanent space they say has been missing from the community, North Shore News reported on November 6, 2026.

The Creators Collective opened in October 2026 on the second floor of Park Royal South, near the food court. It carries high-end fashion, streetwear, jewelry and artwork from Indigenous vendors across the country.

The team behind the store includes four Indigenous artists: (Himikalas) Pam Baker, Desmon "Day Day" Pack, Richard Pîsim Smallboy and Seaira Keshane. The four wanted a space that would support Indigenous entrepreneurs and showcase their culture, North Shore News reported.

## A decade in the making

Smallboy, who is from the Maskwacis Cree Nation, told North Shore News the idea came to him about a decade ago when he watched Indigenous artists struggle to manage the business side of selling their work. His first vision was a kiosk, but after conversations with Pack and Baker, the plan grew into a full storefront at Park Royal.

Inside the store, each of the four founders has their own business. Smallboy's Kustom Kokums gives young Indigenous people a path into the fashion industry by selling scrunchies they make by hand, with profits going back into programming to help them build their own collections.

## The vendors

Baker, who is Sḵwx̱wú7mesh Úxwumixw (Squamish Nation) with Kwakiutl and Tlingt background, launched her clothing company Touch of Culture more than three decades ago on the Xwemelch'stn (Capilano Reserve). Pack runs Creators Kidz Co., a streetwear company inside the store. Keshane, whose nail art is inspired by her Haida, Ts'mSyen and Ojibwe roots, runs Sea Nailed It, offering hand-painted press-on nails and nail art.

Pack told North Shore News there is already a waitlist of vendors wanting space in the store, saying many customers had told them they had been looking for Indigenous goods and had only been able to find them at pop-up events.

"The store has been packed, it's been crazy," Baker told North Shore News.

## What residents can do

The Creators Collective is at Park Royal South, West Vancouver, on the second floor near the food court. The store opened in October 2026. Residents can visit to find handmade goods from more than 25 Indigenous vendors, and to see Keshane's nail art demonstrations.
