## About BC Green Party
The BC Green Party elected Rob Botterell (Saanich North and the Islands) and Jeremy Valeriote (West Vancouver-Sea to Sky) in the 2024 election, and the legislature’s records read on 2026-09-30 list both as Green members.
Emily Lowan has led the party since 2025-09-24, when members elected her on the first ballot. She has no seat in the legislature. She is running in Saanich North and the Islands, where Rob Botterell is not seeking re-election.
The party says it is running on four commitments: "A Life You Can Afford", "Care You Can Count On", "Economic Fairness for All" and "Fight for the Future". It says it would pay for its plan by taxing the richest people and large corporations more.
In the 2024 election the party ran 69 candidates, received 173,377 votes (8.24 percent) and elected 2 MLAs, according to Elections BC.
