BY RACE

## Who is contesting each race

Not every party runs for every office. Four parties are not running a mayoral candidate at all, and two are contesting a single race.

[
MLA

One Member of the Legislative Assembly is elected in each of the 93 districts. The party that can win the confidence of the legislature forms the government.See the parties running](https://voche.me/bc/provincial-2026/parties/mla)

### How these pages are built

Every party gets the same pages, so the shape of a page never suggests that one party matters more than another. What differs is how much each party has published. Where a party has published nothing on a subject, the page says so and gives the date we looked, rather than leaving a blank. Pages with nothing sourced on them are kept out of search results until they have something.

A party's own website proves what the party claims, not that the claim is true. Those sources are marked. Candidate affiliations come only from the official Elections BC candidate list.
