The Surrey and White Rock Board of Trade is hosting a provincial candidates forum on October 15, 2026, starting at 5:30 p.m. at the Sheraton Vancouver Guildford Hotel. Peace Arch News reported that candidates from all 10 Surrey and White Rock ridings have been invited, and that five parties received invitations: CentreBC, Conservative, Green, NDP and OneBC.

Voters who want to attend in person can register at businessinsurrey.chambermaster.com. The Board of Trade streams its election forums on its YouTube channel for viewers who cannot attend in person.

## What the forum covers

The forum covers candidates from 10 provincial ridings in Surrey and White Rock. Surrey holds nine provincial ridings in the 2026 campaign, with White Rock adding a tenth. The Peace Arch News report, published on the morning of October 15, 2026, did not confirm which individual candidates have accepted the invitation from each party.

The five parties invited are the same five that have candidates running across the Surrey and White Rock ridings this election: CentreBC, the Conservative Party of BC, the BC Greens, the BC NDP and OneBC.

## Why this event matters to voters in Surrey

The forum is one of the last public opportunities for Surrey and White Rock voters to hear from provincial candidates before advance voting opens the next day. Voters who attend or watch the stream can ask about issues in their specific riding and compare what candidates from different parties say on the same question.

## Advance voting and voting day

Advance voting for the BC provincial election runs October 16 to 21, 2026, starting the day after this forum. Voting day is October 24, 2026. Voters can confirm their voting location for their Surrey or White Rock riding at [elections.bc.ca](https://elections.bc.ca/2026-provincial-election/where-to-vote/).
