All four candidates in the North Island provincial district have agreed to take part in a public debate at the Tidemark Theatre in Campbell River on Friday, October 16, according to the Campbell River Mirror.

Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and the event runs from 7 to 9 p.m. The Campbell River and District Chamber of Commerce, the Campbell River Mirror, and the Tidemark Theatre Society are co-hosting.

## Who is taking part

The four candidates are [Anna Kindy](/bc/provincial-2026/candidates/anna-kindy) for the Conservative Party of BC, [Sara Lopez](/bc/provincial-2026/candidates/sara-lopez) for the BC NDP, [Benjamin Olsson](/bc/provincial-2026/candidates/benjamin-olsson) for the BC Green Party, and [Richard Lambert](/bc/provincial-2026/candidates/richard-lambert) as an Independent. People who cannot travel to Campbell River can follow along: a live stream will run through the Tidemark Theatre website on the evening of the event. For those who miss the live broadcast, the Campbell River and District Chamber of Commerce plans to post a full recording to its YouTube channel the next day.

The debate format is organized by the Chamber, which also co-hosted the announcement. No additional format details, such as the number of questions or topics, were provided in the Mirror's October 8 report.
