Two candidate forums are coming to the Chilliwack area before the October 24 provincial election, according to a report by Abbotsford News published on October 9.

The Chilliwack Chamber of Commerce will host the first forum on Tuesday, October 13, at the Chilliwack Cultural Centre. It runs from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. A Chamber representative told Abbotsford News: "This forum provides voters with an opportunity to hear directly from those seeking to represent our community in the Legislative Assembly, learn about their priorities and gain valuable insight ahead of the 2026 Provincial General Election."

To register for the October 13 forum, visit the Chamber's events page at business.chilliwackchamber.com.

The second forum is organized by the Yarrow Volunteer Society and takes place on Wednesday, October 21, at the Yarrow Community Centre, running from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. It will be moderated by Diane Janzen, a former Chilliwack city councillor. Abbotsford News reported that voters can contact the Yarrow Volunteer Society for details on the October 21 event.

**Who is invited**

Abbotsford News listed the invited candidates for both ridings. For [Chilliwack North](/bc/provincial-2026/races/mla/chilliwack-north): [Dan Grice](/bc/provincial-2026/candidates/dan-grice) of CentreBC, [Heather Maahs](/bc/provincial-2026/candidates/heather-maahs) of the Conservative Party of BC, and [Adila Shaukat](/bc/provincial-2026/candidates/adila-shaukat) of the BC NDP.

For [Chilliwack-Cultus Lake](/bc/provincial-2026/races/mla/chilliwack-cultus-lake): [Kelli Paddon](/bc/provincial-2026/candidates/kelli-paddon) of the BC NDP and [A'aliya Warbus](/bc/provincial-2026/candidates/a-aliya-warbus) of the Conservative Party of BC. The article notes that candidate participation is subject to change.

**Timing and voting**

The October 13 forum is eleven days before voting day, and the October 21 forum is three days before. Advance voting across British Columbia runs from October 16 to 21, so voters who attend either forum will still have time to cast a ballot before or on October 24.

Voters in both Chilliwack ridings who want to confirm their polling station or advance voting options can check the Elections BC website at [elections.bc.ca/voting/where-to-vote/](https://elections.bc.ca/voting/where-to-vote/).
