A Liaison Strategies poll of 1,000 British Columbians conducted September 26-27 shows the Conservative Party of BC at 40% and the BC NDP at 39% among decided and leaning voters, the Indo-Canadian Voice reported on September 29. The BC Greens stand at 11%, CentreBC at 4%, OneBC at 3%, and other parties at 3%.

David Valentin, principal at Liaison Strategies, said in the report: "The provincial contest itself is virtually level. The Conservatives have 40% among decided and leaning voters and the NDP 39%, compared with 36% and 41% in our September 23 release."

## Approval ratings

The poll shows David Eby's approval has slipped to 38%, down from 42% in Liaison's September 23 release, while his disapproval rose to 45%, up from 43%. [Lorne Doerkson's](/bc/provincial-2026/candidates/lorne-doerkson) favourable rating increased to 27%, up from 21%, though 32% of respondents view him unfavourably.

Valentin said: "Neither the governing party nor its main competitor is approaching this debate with overwhelming public confidence."

## How the poll was conducted

Liaison Strategies surveyed 1,000 British Columbians on September 26-27 using Interactive Voice Recording technology through random digit dialling across landline and cellular networks. Results were weighted to 2021 Census targets. The margin of error is plus or minus 3.1 percentage points, 19 times out of 20.

The Indo-Canadian Voice noted that Liaison Strategies received an A grade from 338Canada for its polling in the 2024 BC election, ranked first in accuracy in the 2025 Ontario election, and ranked second nationally in the 2025 federal election.

A separate Leger poll covering September 24-28 placed the Conservatives at 39% and the NDP at 36% among decided voters. Both polls show the Conservatives ahead within the margin of error.
