## About Tony Luck

Tony Luck is the Conservative Party of BC candidate in Fraser-Nicola on Elections BC's list for the general election of October 24, 2026. The copy of the list read on October 1, 2026 also names Jason Leboe of the BC NDP. The Aldergrove Star reports that the B.C. Greens named Patrick Michell as their candidate.

He won Fraser-Nicola in 2024 with 10,326 votes, 54.34 percent of the valid vote. Francyne Joe of the BC NDP had 6,917 and Jonah Timms of the BC Green Party had 1,761, according to the Elections BC statement of votes. The legislature's record lists him as the Conservative member for Fraser-Nicola in the 43rd Parliament.

City of Merritt minutes from November 2018 list him as a councillor. The Merritt Herald reported that he sat on Merritt council from 2018 to 2022 and on Mission council before that, and that he ran for mayor in both cities. The party and caucus say he worked 26 years for BC Hydro and as a financial planner. He told the legislature he was a realtor before his election.

Caucus releases call him the opposition critic for Municipal Affairs from October 2025, and Shadow Minister for Municipal Affairs in September 2026. In the legislature in 2026 he moved a motion for independent oversight of public service hiring, which lost 45 to 46. He questioned the minister on money for cities, and spoke on freedom of information, development cost charges, supportive housing and codes of conduct for councils.

No campaign website of his own was found. His Facebook page (tony.luck.39) and Instagram account (tonyluckmla), both linked from the party page, show only a sign-in page to direct reads, so no post is used. The legislature's data service gives two party values for him: the member record reads British Columbia Green Party, and his 43rd Parliament entry reads Conservative Party of British Columbia. voche.me uses the 43rd Parliament entry, which matches the 2024 statement of votes. That entry lists no roles, so his caucus titles come from caucus pages only. The party's candidate page labels him "Interim Conservative Party Leader". Caucus releases name Lorne Doerkson as interim leader, so voche.me does not repeat that label. His Merritt council seat is confirmed by City of Merritt minutes from November 2018. His seat on Mission council, his roles with the Fraser Valley Regional District and the Southern Interior Local Government Association, his 26 years with BC Hydro, his work as a financial planner and his community memberships are stated by the party and the caucus; voche.me has not confirmed them with those bodies. He said in the legislature that he was a realtor before his election. A September 3, 2025 caucus release on the Auditor General for Local Government returned an error page and was not read. His October 2025 letter to the Forests minister was not opened; only the caucus release about it was read. His 2025 speeches were not reviewed. Votes are taken from the 2026 vote index; only the transcript of the March 31 division was opened. Elections BC's list read on October 1, 2026 names two accepted candidates in Fraser-Nicola. Nominations close on October 3, 2026, so others may be added. All-candidates meetings, endorsements and campaign finances were not found on this date. The questionnaire has not been sent.

Research status

## What voche.me has checked

Evidence reviewed on 2026-10-01: the Elections BC candidate list and 2024 statement of votes, the legislature's member data and its 2026 speech and vote indexes, 15 transcripts from 2026 where he spoke or was named in a vote, City of Merritt minutes from 2018, the party candidate, team and platform pages, the caucus page and seven caucus releases, and news reports from 2024 and 2026.

His commitments on this page come mostly from what he said in the legislature in 2026. No campaign website of his own was found. Sections with no entry record that voche.me found nothing on this date.
