01 / Introduction

## About Robin Roy

Elections BC lists Robin Roy as the OneBC candidate in Abbotsford South. The list is stamped October 3, 2026, 6:00:07 PM, and shows nominations that Elections BC has accepted. It names two other candidates in the district: Leah Ballantyne (BC NDP) and Bruce Banman (Conservative Party).

In 2024 Bruce Banman won Abbotsford South for the Conservative Party with 13,053 votes (61.61 percent). Sarah Kooner (BC NDP) had 7,454 votes (35.18 percent) and Amandeep Singh (Independent) had 681 votes (3.21 percent). Robin Roy was not a candidate in Abbotsford South in 2024.

OneBC's candidate page for him says he was born in Weyburn, Saskatchewan, grew up in Chilliwack and Abbotsford, lived almost 10 years in Victoria, and has spent his adult life in Langley and Abbotsford. It says he began a construction company in Victoria and opened another on the mainland, and that in 1998 he started a computer service company, which he operates today for clients across the Lower Mainland. It also says he has been married for thirty-four years, has three adult children and one grandchild, and lives in Abbotsford South. These are the party's statements about him, and voche.me has not confirmed them with another source.

The same page says he wants to keep citizens "safe and free to pursue their dreams" and that he chose to run to serve in the provincial legislature. It names no measure, law or date. The OneBC pledges listed below come from the party's priorities page, which does not name him, so voche.me shows them as the party's.

voche.me has not contacted the campaign.

The name search was limited on 2026-10-03: the search tool had reached its usage limit, and the public search pages and news feeds tried gave no page about him, results about other subjects, a block, or an empty feed. No campaign website, personal social account, news report or statement of his own was found. OneBC's X account answered with a payment wall, and its other accounts were not opened. His background comes only from OneBC's page about him, which is the campaign's own account. His positions on the OneBC platform, all-candidates meetings in the district, campaign finances and endorsements were not found on this date.

Research status

## What voche.me has checked

Evidence reviewed on 2026-10-03: the Elections BC candidate list, the 2024 statement of votes, the Elections BC key dates page, and OneBC's home, candidates, priorities and Robin Roy pages. OneBC's events page lists one event (a rally for Dallas Brodie in Langley on September 30, 2026) and does not name him.

The name search was limited. The search tool had reached its usage limit, so Bing and Google web searches, Google News and Bing News feeds, DuckDuckGo and the Abbotsford News site search were tried with his name, OneBC and Abbotsford South. They returned no page about him, results about other subjects, a block, or an empty feed. A missing result therefore says nothing about whether such pages exist. OneBC's X account answered with a payment wall and nothing from it is used.

No campaign website, personal social account or public statement of his own was found, so the priorities, talks and coverage sections are empty. His page on the OneBC site is the only source for his background, and it is the campaign's own account. The pledges listed are OneBC's platform and are shown as the party's. An empty section records what voche.me found on this date.
