01 / Introduction

## About Richard Lambert

Elections BC lists Richard Lambert as an Independent candidate for MLA in North Island. Its list, stamped October 1, 2026 at 2:00 p.m., shows two accepted nominations in the district: Anna Kindy of the Conservative Party and Richard Lambert. Nominations close at 1 p.m. on October 3, 2026, so more candidates may be added.

Anna Kindy won North Island in 2024 with 14,100 votes (47.07 percent). Michele Babchuk of the BC NDP had 13,461 votes (44.93 percent) and Nic Dedeluk of the BC Green Party had 2,397 (8.00 percent), according to Elections BC's statement of votes. voche.me searched that statement for the surname Lambert on 2026-10-01 and found no candidate with that name in any district.

The Times Colonist list of Vancouver Island candidates, updated October 1, 2026, names him as an Independent in North Island. voche.me found no page that gives his background, his job or his reasons for running, and has not contacted the campaign.
