The list shows nominations that Elections BC has accepted. That copy names one other candidate in the district, Todd Schierling of the BC NDP. Nominations close at 1 p.m. on October 3, 2026. The affiliation on the official list changed on September 30, 2026. A copy stamped 05:00:07 PM that day showed no affiliation beside her name. The North Delta Reporter, on September 28, 2026, described her as an independent candidate who had registered with Elections BC and had made no public campaign announcement. The Delta Optimist reported on September 29, 2026 that she would run in Delta North for the BC Conservatives, and that a party representative told the paper she would release more details about her campaign. The party's team page lists her as its candidate for Delta North, and the party has a candidate page for her. That page says she is a practising lawyer in British Columbia, lives in North Delta, and was born and raised in Vancouver. It says she speaks English, Punjabi and Hindi. The party page says she graduated with honours from Pennsylvania State University with a degree in Administration of Justice and then studied law in the United States. It says she worked in civilian roles with the Vancouver Police Department and the Guelph Police Service before she became a lawyer, and that she worked as a victim advocate and sexual assault counsellor. voche.me has not confirmed these statements with the Law Society of British Columbia, the university or the police services. The page says she is committed to access to justice and to community engagement, and that she believes in public service, accountability and practical solutions. It names no measure, number, cost or date. Ravi Kahlon of the BC NDP won Delta North in 2024 with 10,988 votes (52.73 percent), according to Elections BC's statement of votes. Raj Veauli, the Conservative Party candidate that year, received 8,381 votes (40.22 percent). The North Delta Reporter and the Delta Optimist call Kahlon the outgoing MLA. voche.me searched the statement for the name Mohan and found no match. voche.me has not contacted the campaign. No campaign website was found on 2026-09-30: searches returned none, the party's candidate page links to none, and eight likely addresses did not answer. The party's candidate page links only to the party's own social media accounts. An Instagram account under the same name (monicamohan19) was found by search. Its public profile line gives a name and follower counts only, and no page read ties it to this candidacy, so it was left out. No Facebook, X or LinkedIn account tied to her candidacy was found. Her work as a lawyer, her degree from Pennsylvania State University, her law studies, her civilian roles with the Vancouver Police Department and the Guelph Police Service, and her work as a victim advocate and sexual assault counsellor are stated by the party. voche.me could not confirm them. The Law Society of British Columbia's Lawyer Directory returned no results to a direct search on 2026-09-30, including a search for a test surname, so a person must open it and search for her. The party page also says the Minnesota Justice Foundation gave her an Outstanding Volunteer Service Award during law school. voche.me has not confirmed the award with the foundation, so it is left out of the profile. The party page does not name her law school, the year she became a lawyer or her employer. The party's candidate page labels her "Interim Conservative Party Leader". The party's own team page names Lorne Doerkson as leader and lists her only as the Delta North candidate, so voche.me does not repeat that label. The party's platform page says the platform is coming soon and does not name her. The party's news page listed 11 releases on 2026-09-30, and none of them names her or Delta North. The North Delta Reporter article of September 28, 2026 still called her an independent when it was read again on 2026-09-30. The Delta Optimist's site search returned HTTP 403, so newer Optimist articles could only be looked for through a web search. An election tracking site (canadianelectionstracker.ca) lists her as Conservative without giving a source, so it was left out. All-candidates meetings in the district, campaign finances and endorsements were not found on this date. Nominations close October 3, 2026, so other candidates may still be added. The questionnaire has not been sent. Research status ## What voche.me has checked Evidence reviewed on 2026-09-30: the Elections BC candidate list and key dates page, the 2024 statement of votes, the party's candidate, team, platform and news pages, reporting on the Delta North race from the Delta Optimist and the North Delta Reporter, the BC Ballot candidate list, the Minnesota Justice Foundation's list of award recipients, and web searches for her name with the district, 2026, MLA, topics and social media sites. Elections BC lists her as the Conservative Party candidate. An earlier copy of the list, read the same day, showed no affiliation, and this page was updated when the list changed. No campaign website and no social media account tied to her candidacy were found. Her background comes from the party's page, and voche.me has not confirmed it with an independent source. An empty section records what voche.me did not find on this date. 03 / Background ## Experience & community 2026, by the party's account ### Lawyer in British Columbia Stated by the party, which names no firm and no year. voche.me has not confirmed it with the Law Society of British Columbia.
