Elections BC lists Leah Ballantyne as the BC NDP candidate for MLA in Abbotsford South. The list shows nominations that Elections BC has accepted. Nominations close at 1 p.m. (PT) on October 3, 2026. The copy of the list read at 9:00 AM PT that day shows her as the only accepted nomination in the district.
In 2024, Conservative Bruce Banman won Abbotsford South with 13,053 votes (61.61 percent). The BC NDP candidate that year, Sarah Kooner, received 7,454 votes (35.18 percent), and independent Amandeep Singh received 681 votes (3.21 percent). Leah Ballantyne does not appear in the 2024 statement of votes for this district.
BC Ballot, a voter information site, lists her as filed and says it found no earlier run in provincial, federal or local election records.
