## About Kiel Giddens

Kiel Giddens is the Conservative Party of BC candidate in Prince George-Mackenzie on Elections BC's list for the general election of October 24, 2026. He won the district in 2024 with 11,307 votes, 60.92% of the valid vote, according to the Elections BC statement of votes.

My Prince George Now reported on September 4, 2024 that he accepted the Conservative nomination after first being named the BC United candidate. The legislature record lists his election year as 2024. CKPG Today reported on August 25, 2026 that party leader Kerry-Lynne Findlay named him Shadow Minister for Economic Development, and that he keeps the Labour portfolio.

In the legislature in 2026 he introduced Bill M233 on open tendering for public construction, which was defeated at second reading. He asked questions on the budget, debt and credit ratings, forestry jobs, pipelines, LNG royalties and long-term care, and voted against the budget.

The party and caucus pages say he spent more than a decade working on B.C.'s LNG industry, was president of the Prince George Chamber of Commerce, and was chief of staff to the Minister of Environment and the Minister of Transportation and Infrastructure. Those are the party's own statements. In the legislature he said he worked in the LNG sector for 12 years.

The party candidate page labels him "Interim Conservative Party Leader", which no other source supports, so that label is left out. His posts on X, Facebook and Instagram could not be read, because each shows a sign-in page. The Labour and Mining estimates debates (April and May 2026), the Bill 10 committee stage, the Bill 5 and Bill 2 debates, the motions on human rights and liquor in theatres, and the Lobbyists Transparency Act committee report were not read line by line. Several Prince George Citizen articles returned HTTP 403 and were not used. The party platform page says the platform is coming soon and does not name him. No 2026 all-candidates meeting for Prince George-Mackenzie was found. His work in the LNG sector, his time as chief of staff to two ministers, his term as Prince George Chamber of Commerce president and his board roles come from his own and his party's pages and were not checked against the bodies involved. Campaign finances and endorsements were not reviewed. The questionnaire has not been sent.

## What voche.me has checked

Evidence reviewed on 2026-09-30: the Elections BC candidate list and 2024 statement of votes, the legislature's 2026 speech and vote indexes, 26 transcripts from 2026 where he spoke, his party candidate page and platform page, his caucus page and 14 caucus releases from 2026, and news reports from CKPG Today and My Prince George Now.

His commitments on this page come from what he said in the legislature and in caucus releases that quote him. He is in opposition, so his record is his speeches, his own bill and his recorded votes. Sections with no entry record that voche.me found nothing on this date.
