## About Jordan Kealy

Jordan Kealy is on Elections BC’s list for Peace River North in the general election of October 24, 2026, with his affiliation given as Independent. He won the district in 2024 for the Conservative Party with 11,213 votes, 74.36% of the valid vote, according to the Elections BC statement of votes.

Before 2024 he was the Peace River Regional District director for Electoral Area B, according to CBC News and Energeticcity.ca. His campaign website says he is a farmer who raises cattle in the Peace River region.

On March 7, 2025, he left the Conservative Party after the party removed Dallas Brodie from its caucus, CBC News reported, and he wrote that the party had become “toxic”. In April 2026 he endorsed Kerry-Lynne Findlay for the party leadership, Energeticcity.ca reported, and said he would consider rejoining if she won.

On June 4, 2026, the BC Prosecution Service announced that he had been charged with one count of sexual assault for an alleged offence in 2024, before his election, CBC News reported. He said he is innocent and would not resign. The Conservative Party then said he would not join its caucus or party. He chose a trial by judge and jury, and Energeticcity.ca reported a pre-trial conference set for October 20, 2026. The charge is an allegation that no court has decided.

In the legislature in 2026 he introduced bills on school entry controls and on repealing the Health Professions and Occupations Act, asked questions about the Taylor Bridge and the Old Fort landslide, and spoke against Budget 2026, the freedom of information changes in Bill 9 and the K’ómoks Treaty Act.

The BC Prosecution Service charged Kealy with one count of sexual assault in June 2026. He says he is innocent, and the case is before the court. The record schema has no category for a criminal charge, so the case appears in the biography and in news coverage, with no entry in the accountability list. The campaign website’s Updates, Press Releases, Events and Bills Archive pages load no posts for a direct read. His Facebook page showed a sign-in page, his X account answered as not found, and his YouTube page showed no readable text, so no social media post is used. His November 2025 speech on the DRIPA repeal bill is taken from Energeticcity.ca; the 2025 transcript was not opened. Votes are taken from the 2026 vote index; the transcripts of the votes were not opened. The text of his bills M234 and M238 was not opened. His start date as Peace River Regional District director, and the campaign’s statement that he has raised cattle since 2008, were not checked against an official record. No 2026 all-candidates meeting for Peace River North was found. Campaign finances and endorsements were not reviewed. The questionnaire has not been sent.
