The list stamped October 1, 2026 11:00:06 PM shows two accepted nominations in the district: Pam Alexis of the BC NDP and Darryl Kropp. Nominations close at 1 p.m. on October 3, 2026, so more candidates may be added. Abbotsford News reports that CentreBC has named Lakhwinder Jhaj and the Libertarian Party of BC has named Jeff Monds. The party named him on September 26, 2026. The Western Standard reports that the party’s account on X posted his name at 4:56 p.m. Pacific time that day. Abbotsford News and Fraser Valley Today report that Reann Gasper, who won the seat in 2024, had said two days earlier that she would seek the party’s nomination, and that the party chose Kropp. Abbotsford News reports that Gasper resigned as MLA in August 2026 so that former party leader Kerry-Lynne Findlay could run in a byelection, and that the byelection was cancelled when the legislature was dissolved for the general election. In 2024 Gasper won the district with 13,523 votes (55.38 percent), and Pam Alexis of the BC NDP received 10,894 (44.62 percent), according to Elections BC’s statement of votes. voche.me searched the whole statement for the name Kropp on 2026-10-02 and found no match. The party says he has lived in Abbotsford for more than 25 years. First West Credit Union’s page on its 2023 board election says he was elected to its board in 2018. The page says he was declared elected again in 2023, with no vote needed, for a three-year term ending in 2026. It lists him as Global Practice Lead at RedMane Technology in Abbotsford, and as vice-chair of two board committees. The party says he also chaired the board’s Governance and Nominations Committee and helped guide First West into Tru Cooperative Bank. voche.me has not confirmed those two statements with the credit union. No statement on policy in his own words was found on 2026-10-02. His campaign site, darrylkropp.ca, is a volunteer sign-up page with no policy text; it was read from the site’s script file, because the page has no text in its HTML. The party’s candidate page holds a biography and an empty news box, and labels him "Interim Conservative Party Leader". The party’s own team page names Lorne Doerkson as leader and lists Kropp only as the Abbotsford-Mission candidate, so voche.me does not repeat that label. The page also spells his first name "Daryl" once; this page uses the Elections BC spelling. An Instagram account named darrylkropp showed only a sign-in page, and no page read ties it to this candidacy, so nothing from it is used. A Facebook address, DarrylKroppBC, showed only a sign-in page. No X account for him was found. A LinkedIn profile under his name returned HTTP 999 to direct requests and could not be read. First West Credit Union’s 2023 election page was read through an Internet Archive copy of July 13, 2025, because the live page returns HTTP 404. voche.me did not find a First West page from 2026 showing whether he still sits on the board. The party’s statements that he chaired the Governance and Nominations Committee and helped guide First West into Tru Cooperative Bank were not confirmed with the credit union. His work at Cascade Aerospace and RedMane Technology, his 17 years on the Northview Community Church board and 11 years as chair, his class valedictorian title and his Lean Black Belt and Project Management Professional certificates are stated by the party; voche.me has not checked them with the employers, the church, the school or the issuing bodies. Abbotsford News reports that CentreBC and the Libertarian Party of BC have named candidates in the district. Neither is on the Elections BC list stamped October 1, 2026 11:00:06 PM, and nominations close October 3, 2026. All-candidates meetings in Abbotsford-Mission for the general election, campaign finances and endorsements were not found on this date. The questionnaire has not been sent.
