## About Dan Wood

Elections BC lists Dan Wood as the CentreBC candidate in West Vancouver-Sea to Sky. On the list stamped October 1, 2026 11:00:06 PM, the other accepted nominations in the district are Ayla Dumais of the Conservative Party and Jeremy Valeriote of the BC Green Party. Nominations close at 1 p.m. on October 3, 2026, so more candidates may be added. The Western Standard reported that CentreBC named him in the district on Friday, September 25, 2026.

Jeremy Valeriote of the BC Green Party won the district in 2024 with 10,438 votes (38.08 percent), according to Elections BC’s statement of votes. Yuri Fulmer of the Conservative Party received 9,762 votes (35.61 percent) and Jen Ford of the BC NDP 7,213 (26.31 percent). A search of that statement for the surname Wood found no candidate.

His campaign website says he works as a property agent at a provincial Crown corporation, where he finds land and arranges the studies, checks and agreements that lead to affordable homes. It does not name the corporation. The party’s page about him describes the same work and says he holds a master’s degree from the University of British Columbia. The campaign says he founded a food company, Strong Foods, in 2020, and that its process received a Canadian patent. These are the campaign’s and the party’s statements, and voche.me has not checked them with the employer, the university or the patent office.

The campaign says he moved to West Vancouver in 2023. It says he has been a CentreBC member since the party was founded and sits on its provincial executive as Communications Chair. A party release of 2026-06-20 lists a Daniel Wood as Communications Chair, with the status “To be Appointed”.

His campaign website sets out commitments on housing, the cost of living, health care, transportation, the economy, the environment, public safety, education and Indigenous partnerships. They include a provincial housing program for workers in resort towns, a restart of the paused Squamish long-term care home, steady funding for search and rescue teams, and a yearly public report on Highway 99 closures. The site says these are things an MLA can push for, and it gives no cost and no date for any of them. voche.me has not contacted the campaign.

voche.me found no interview, debate or news report quoting him as a 2026 candidate on 2026-10-02. The campaign’s statements about his work are unchecked: the name of the Crown corporation where he says he works, his master’s degree from the University of British Columbia, the company Strong Foods and its Canadian patent. A web search shows patent listings under the name Daniel Wood for food products, but no page voche.me read ties them to this candidate, so they are left out. A party release of 2026-06-20 lists a Daniel Wood as Communications Chair, and party releases of 2026-07-18, 2026-08-30 and 2026-09-22 list a Dan Wood as media contact. His campaign says he is the party’s Communications Chair, but no page names him as the media contact, so that role is left out. CentreBC has published no 2026 election platform: its policy page says its Policy Committee is still writing its first policy areas. His health care page refers to a party proposal for modular care homes, which voche.me did not find on the party’s site. The campaign site lists a LinkedIn profile in its page code, which returned HTTP 999 and was not read. No Facebook, Instagram, X or Bluesky account of his own was found. The party’s X account could not be read without signing in. All-candidates meetings in the district, campaign finances and endorsements were not found on this date. Nominations close October 3, 2026, so other candidates may still be added. The questionnaire has not been sent.

Research status

## What voche.me has checked

Evidence reviewed on 2026-10-02: the Elections BC candidate list and key dates page, the 2024 statement of votes, his campaign website (home, about, contact, volunteer and all ten priority pages), the CentreBC candidates, team, policy and news pages, the party’s page about him, four party releases, the party’s 100 newest public Bluesky posts, two Western Standard campaign reports, a Squamish Chief report, the BC Ballot candidate list, the provincial government’s page on the Declaration Act, and web searches for his name with the district, the party, 2026, MLA and housing.

His positions on this page come from his campaign website. Each one names what he would push for, and none gives a cost or a date. His work history and his party role come from the campaign and the party, and voche.me has not checked them with the bodies that would know. An empty section records what voche.me did not find on this date.
