## About Christine Boyle

Christine Boyle is the BC NDP candidate in Vancouver-Little Mountain on Elections BC's list for the general election of October 24, 2026. She won the district in 2024 with 15,636 votes, 62.11% of the valid vote, according to the Elections BC statement of votes.

The legislature record lists 2024 as her only provincial election year. It shows her as Minister of Indigenous Relations and Reconciliation from November 18, 2024 to July 17, 2025, and as Minister of Housing and Municipal Affairs from July 17, 2025.

Before that she sat on Vancouver City Council. Daily Hive reported in October 2024 that she was first elected in 2018 for OneCity Vancouver and re-elected in 2022. Global News reported that council voted unanimously in January 2019 for her motion to declare a climate emergency.

In the legislature in 2026 she moved the Residential Tenancy Amendment Act (Bill 11), which became law on April 16, 2026. She also introduced bills on a code of conduct and on parental leave for local elected officials; the official list shows neither passed second reading before the election.

Her government biography says she worked in front-line social services in East Vancouver and the Downtown Eastside and studied at the University of British Columbia and in Berkeley, California. Her campaign page calls her an ordained United Church minister. Those are her own statements.

The campaign page lists no events and no platform of her own. Facebook and Instagram showed a sign-in page; the X page showed a few posts from 2025 and 2026 with no campaign statement, so nothing from social media is used. Her ministry estimates debates (March 9 to 12, 2026), the Bill 11 committee debate (April 13 to 16) and the Bill 16 debate were read only in part. Votes are taken from the vote index; the transcripts of those votes were not opened. The bcndpcaucus.ca page returned HTTP 503. Whether the Bill 11 regulations on weapons and temporary moves were made was not checked. The official text of the June 2026 B.C. and federal housing partnership was not opened; its figures come from The Canadian Press. voche.me found no signed B.C. deal on the federal sales tax for new homes. No 2026 all-candidates meeting for Vancouver-Little Mountain was found; a Vancouver Unitarians forum page found in the search is from 2024. Her record as Minister of Indigenous Relations and Reconciliation and her votes and motions on Vancouver City Council from 2018 to 2024 were not checked against official records, apart from the 2019 climate emergency motion as reported. Her degrees and church role come from her own biography and were not checked with the institutions. Campaign finances and endorsements were not reviewed. The questionnaire has not been sent.

Her commitments on this page come from what she said in the legislature, in government releases and to reporters in 2026. Her campaign page states no measures of its own. Sections with no entry record that voche.me found nothing on this date.
