01 / Introduction
## About Carter Mochinski
Elections BC lists Carter Mochinski as the BC Green Party candidate in Kelowna-Lake Country-Coldstream. On the copy of the list stamped October 3, 2026 12:00:06 PM, four candidates are shown for the district: Binny Boparai (BC NDP), Carter Mochinski (BC Green Party), Pavneet Singh (Conservative Party) and Alexandra Wright (OneBC). Nominations close at 1 p.m. on October 3, 2026, so more candidates may be added.
West K News reported on February 7, 2026 that he was a Grade 12 student at Ecole George Elliot Secondary in Lake Country. It says he and a Grade 11 student, Liberty Sanderson, represented Canadian youth at the COP30 United Nations climate conference in Brazil in November 2025, worked as global reporters there and co-hosted an event for elementary students. He described this to the Central Okanagan Board of Education trustees on January 28, 2026.
In 2026 he gave a talk at TEDxKelowna Youth. The video, published by TEDx Talks on June 17, 2026, is titled "Reducing inequalities for learners: a new approach". Its description says the talk looks at how innovative learning approaches can be more inclusive and can reduce inequalities faced by neurodivergent students (students who learn differently). In it he shares his own experience of traditional and innovative school systems.
His BC Green Party candidate page lists more roles: Director of Research and Publications with the BC Youth Council, youth representative with the BC Parks Foundation, and earlier a Youth Councillor with the District of Lake Country. These are the party's statements. voche.me could not open a page from any of the three organizations that confirms them.
In 2024 the BC Green Party's candidate in this district, Andrew Rose, received 1,151 votes (4.34 percent), according to Elections BC's statement of votes. Tara Armstrong won for the Conservative Party with 14,303 votes (53.92 percent). voche.me has not contacted the campaign.

No reviewed entries have been added to this section yet. This is a research gap, not a finding about the candidate.

BC Ballot
No campaign website of his own was found on 2026-10-03. His Instagram page showed a login page, his X account returned HTTP 402 and his LinkedIn page returned HTTP 999, so nothing from them is used. His party page names the BC Youth Council, the BC Parks Foundation and the District of Lake Country's youth council. The BC Youth Council website loads its content by script and showed no names, a District of Lake Country page and its council page do not name him, and no BC Parks Foundation page was found, so those three roles rest on the party's page alone. The party's plan page lists no item on schools or learning, so no education commitment is recorded even though his talk and his party page name education as a concern. The BC Green Party's own plan page says its full platform is coming soon. No news report on his candidacy, all-candidates meeting, campaign finance record or endorsement was found on this date. BC Ballot, a voter information site, says it found no previous run, term or finance report for him; voche.me did not check federal or municipal results itself. Nominations close at 1 p.m. on October 3, 2026, so other candidates may still be added. The questionnaire has not been sent.
