No campaign website was found. The address the BC NDP uses for candidate pages, brucekong.bcndp.ca, answered with a redirect to itself on every request (10 redirects, then a stop), so no page could be read on 2026-10-03. The BC NDP team page loads its candidate profiles from a data feed. On 2026-10-03 the feed held 59 profiles, none for Richmond-Steveston or for Kong, and none of the 12 releases on the party's media centre page names him. The search tool for names was at its usage limit, so the name search ran through the Google News search feed (the name alone and with Richmond, Steveston, candidate, NDP and British Columbia). It returned one report that names him, the Richmond News report of October 3, 2026. Bing result pages returned unrelated results and DuckDuckGo showed a verification test. No social media account of his was found on the party's pages or in any page read, so none was opened. Other people may share the name Bruce Kong, and no page read ties any of them to this candidacy, so nothing about any other person is used. No published photo tied to this candidacy was found, so the page has no portrait. His statements, all-candidates meetings in the district, endorsements, past roles and campaign finances were not found on this date. The Richmond News report gives no background for him. Research status ## What voche.me has checked Evidence reviewed on 2026-10-03: the Elections BC candidate list, the 2024 statement of votes, Elections BC's page of key dates, two Richmond News reports, the BC NDP team page and the data it loads, the BC NDP platform and releases pages, and the address the BC NDP uses for candidate pages. Name, district and party are as Elections BC prints them. No campaign website, party candidate profile, social media post, statement or interview from Kong was found on that date. The search tool for names was limited that day, so the name search used the Google News search feed, and the Bing and DuckDuckGo result pages did not give usable results. Another candidate or a late announcement may exist that voche.me did not see. 03 / Background ## Experience & community 2026 ### BC NDP candidate, Richmond-Steveston Listed by Elections BC as the BC NDP candidate after nominations closed on October 3, 2026.
