01 / Introduction

## About Anisha Sandhu

Elections BC lists Anisha Sandhu in Langley-Willowbrook with the affiliation BC Green Party. The list, read on October 18, 2026, also names Shubham Joshi (OneBC), Andrew Mercier (BC NDP) and Jody Toor (Conservative Party). BC Ballot says Toor won the district in 2024 with 48.2 percent of the vote, 867 votes ahead of Mercier, and that it found no earlier run by Sandhu in provincial, federal or local election records.

On October 5, 2026 the Langley Advance Times reported that Langley-Willowbrook would have three candidates and no Green candidate. On October 8 Elections BC published a notice saying that her nomination application "was not processed correctly", that on review it met all requirements and was accepted, and that the Chief Electoral Officer had issued an Order under section 280 of the Election Act to add her to the ballot. The Langley Advance Times reported the change the same day.

Her page on the BC Green Party website says she was born and raised in British Columbia and works as a community food security coordinator with organizations that help people meet their basic needs. It says she chaired Seeds of Change Surrey, sat on the City of Surrey's Agricultural and Food Policy Committee, served as a UBC Senator and as an executive of UBC's Alma Mater Society, and holds a Master of Science in Human Nutrition and a Bachelor of Science in Food, Nutrition and Health from UBC. These are the party's statements. voche.me has not checked them with UBC, the City of Surrey or the groups named.

The party page says she is running because people "deserve more than simply getting by", and that she wants to bring the community's experience into provincial decisions. voche.me found no interview or statement from her in 2026 and has not contacted the campaign.
